Citishare is Citi’s internal processor of ATM and debit POS transactions, providing services to Citi's retail and card businesses globally.  On behalf of Citi card issuers (debit, prepaid, credit) and ATM acquirers, Citishare routes/settles transactions between Citi businesses and provides gateway access to payment networks globally – including MasterCard, Visa, Union Pay and Discover. As part of its core services, Citishare manages value-added programs including Citibank Global Transfers (CGT), ATM Surcharging and, provides processing services to support Debt Collection.

Part of Citishare’ s Project Management Team, the incumbent is responsible for responsible for the management and execution of projects assigned to them and ensures that all project objectives are achieved. The project manager applies project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities, strives to maintain progress while seeking to reduce risk/impact of risks to an acceptable level. This position reports to the Project Management Lead. To accomplish these tasks, the incumbent typically needs to actively engage Citi’s regional/local business and projects teams, Payment Network contacts as well as global functional teams including Technology/Operations, Marketing, Risk Management, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Fintech, and Global Digital Payments.

Primary Goals

  • Manage assigned projects to completion
  • Develop a detailed project plan – including documenting requirements and test plans -with input from key internal and external constituents including regional/local business teams, third party vendor, and Payment Network teams.
    • Identify key assumptions and pre-requisites for successful launch.
    • Identify and communicate, when necessary, any project issues, risks and change requests.
    • Create communication plan to ensure key constituents are kept apprised of status, issues, and challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Gain approvals of documents (requirements, scope change, certification, and implementation) within the pre-determined time frames.
  • Document all project scope changes to the approved requirements and present to the Project Management Lead for approval (Directors’ approval required  for changes impacting budget)  and redistribute to Requirements Review Team.
  • Manage the execution of all appropriate testing. Review test results.
  • Proper (complete and timely) turnover of changes and test results to Change Control.
  • Ensure all deliverables are met and outstanding issues addressed before project is closed. 
  • Evaluate the project and identify lessons learned with input from the team and facilitating project closure.
  • Conduct project kick off meetings for all traditional projects and for other project types as deemed necessary.
  • Lead the project team, ensures that work is done in accordance with the project plan.
  • Manages of all Project Stages (Initiation, Define, Design, Validate, Implement, Post-Implementation) and all deliverables within each stage.
  • Communicate weekly and monthly project statuses to the Project Management Lead and to the Project Management Office.
  • Communicate forecasted/actual cost and resource needs to the Head of Project Management and to the Project Management Office.
  • Support all phases of Network Mandates technical releases ( Analysis, Define, Design, Validation and Implementation.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-8 years project management experience.
  • Product payments experience preferred
  • Awareness of payment industry rules and regulations.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal customers and business partners while leveraging internal resources to execute business plans.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including authoring business requirements
  • Awareness of bank control and monitoring practices including BSA, KYC, AML, Sanction Screening; as well as core understanding of bank regulator oversight (OCC, Fed, Red Reserve, CFPB)
  • Awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
