The Nursing Director is accountable for the management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. This role leads and directs a team of skilled nursing professionals and requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within the medical center and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the Medical team. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end-to-end management of the nursing team. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources. Full management responsibility of the team, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and manages the operation of all US Corporate Medical Clinics by ensuring delivery of superior quality healthcare and is responsible for all administrative and clinical aspects of the Health Services department
  • Provides strategic direction and appropriate staffing model to deliver best in class care at US onsite Live Well at Citi Medical Clinics
  • Manages onsite Clinical services - ensures vendor provides consistent quality medical care to a diverse population of U.S. and visiting international employees.
  • Manages Director of Client operations for onsite medical vendor
    • Partners with vendor to provides technical assistance with establishment and management of on-site medical facilities
    • Partners with vendor who is responsible for staying current re: government mandates and regulatory requirements related to employee health clinics to ensure compliance
  • At Citi’s US headquarters:
    • Manages Nurse Manager who manages onsite Citi clinic staff -- 5 RNs and Administrative Assistant
  • Oversees Emergency Response Protocols at all onsite US facilities in conjunction with Security to ensure medical assistance to stabilize, treat and evaluate potential medical emergencies that occur inside or outside the facility.
    • Oversees AED program in the US
  • Partners with Be Well, Citi’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) vendor to manage Be Well counsellors at onsite clinics
  • Manages Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)vendor providing onsite physical therapy
  • Quality Assurance: Monthly chart audits. Obtains necessary supplies and equipment for the unit. Ensures proper standards of safety, hygiene and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitors and implements all regulatory and clinical standards, including documentation, record keeping, blood borne pathogens, respiratory protection and medical waste. Verifies and maintains documented evidence of required training, education and certifications for each healthcare professional.
  • Partners with Health Promotion team to ensure that onsite/remote programs align with overall health and wellness strategy
  • Business Liaison with campus site leadership/communicators/security to address any issues related to health and wellbeing of employees
  • Reports to Assistant Corporate Medical Director

Manages Live Well at Citi Health CenterProject Manager who is responsible for:

  • Working with Nursing Director and Corporate Medical Director to forecast and plan department budget
  • Manages the department budget and liaising with corporate finance for any adjustments.
  • Serves as the point of contact for procurement team for managing department contracts and onboarding of new contracts
  • Manages and meets Citi requirements for all third-party vendors including legal, IT, security deliverables 
  • Records Management - ensuring compliance with the Live Well at Citi Health Services Records Management policies and communicating change as needed

Education & Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of experience; at least 5 years of experience in occupational/corporate health nursing
  • NY State RN license/BS Nursing Degree from accredited school of nursing
  • Masters Preferred
  • Current CPR Certification
  • 5 – 10 years management experience in a related setting
  • Excellent computer and vendor management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
