The GSP Intern Analyst NEis an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. TheBCMA InternAnalyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Citi’s Institutional Clients Group is looking for Summer Analysts to join the Global Spread Products Financing and Securitization Team in NAM. GSP Financing & Securitization integrates our premier global syndicate and distribution capabilities into one consolidated platform to deliver our clients financing and capital markets solutions across the capital structure. GSP bridges both Markets and Investment Banking, providing financing for Commercial Real Estate, Affordable Housing, Public Finance, Residential & Consumer Loans, Project Finance, Alternative Energy, and Corporate Credit Financing. The division is comprised of over 9 different groups that provide many traditional Investment Banking experiences (managing client relationships and working with them to develop strategic and tactical financing plans), while also incorporating a heavy focus on the ever-changing markets, similar to Sales & Trading. As a GSP Summer Analyst, you will join an intensive training program, where you will receive in-depth education on a variety of these topics to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role, and you will be immersed in Citi's culture.

We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The GSP Summer Analyst Program trains and grows key players in today’s changing economic environment and will equip them with the knowledge and training they need to help companies and governments raise capital in new and innovative ways. The 10 week Summer Analyst program starts in June and will kick off with a week of training, followed by nine weeks on a specific desk. In the Summer Analyst role, you will have the opportunity to network with peers across Citi through various activities including a team building activity in association with a local charity. Top performing Summer Analysts will be hired to join the following year’s GSP Analyst Program.
Your time here will look something like this…
Contribute to overall fixed income and equity relationships • Work and interact with corporate clients • Originate, market, structure, and execute fixed income and equity transactions • Demonstrate ways to limit interest rate and credit risk through the use of derivatives

You are graduating between December 2023 and June 2024 and have a preferred GPA of 3.3 or above
