The individual will be part of the new Global Prime Intelligence group in New York responsible for the development of a next generation Prime-wide Analytics platform across Cash PB, Delta 1 and Futures and Clearing businesses. The group`s been set up with the main objective of using the power of Fintech to drive the growth of the Bank`s Prime Finance business including:

  • Using data to measure, track and drive performance
  • Applying data for projections and scenario analysis
  • Ownership of analytical client content and reporting
  • Client portfolio positioning and optimization
  • Client return metrics, portfolio deep dives, peer comparisons


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the build out of the Prime Intelligence platform working with Business, Product development, Quants and Technology
  • Leverage business know-how, and analytical skills to conceptualize tools and dashboards and build PoCs covering end to end analytics from Balances, Portfolio characteristics, Revenues, PnL explain, Business and platform KPIs, Client scorecards and benchmarking
  • Support senior management and desk heads with data and insights to influence Prime business decision making and strategy and track progress
  • Collaborate with Sales towards balance and revenue growth across cash and synthetic prime finance clients by generating high value client content (analytics / return reviews) and face off to Treasury and Counterparty relationship functions across some of the biggest HF clients globally
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Prime Finance or group supporting the Prime Finance business. The role requires utilizes an overall understanding of markets and key drivers of profitability including - equities financing, margin lending, stock loan, balance sheet, risk weighted assets, margin, liquidity, and refinancing among other areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with both internal staff, external clients, and senior business leaders
  • Adept in working with large data sets, complex and multivariable problems and fast paced environments
  • Applicable licenses: 7, 63
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Programming skills (Python, SQL, VBA) preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree
