Citi Private Bank’s Capital Markets organization provides Ultra High Net Worth clients and Family Offices with global, institutional access to a wide variety of products across Equities, Fixed Income/Rates, FX, and Commodities.  The group offers global perspective, regional insight, and access to dedicated research analysts and execution in several markets worldwide.

The Capital Markets Sales team is the sales arm of the CPB Capital Markets group, curating and delivering our expansive products and services offerings to Investment Counselors (ICs), Private Bankers and clients. The team is tasked with growing client's adoption of Capital Markets products across asset classes and multiple product types (OTC derivatives, structured notes, listed options, cash products) and serves as the salesforce’s specialist for all non-discretionary investments-related inquiries and opportunities. To achieve this goal, the team:

  • Partners with the product desks to 1) originate trade ideas and products, 2) position and deliver these strategies to attend highly tailored client needs and leveraging on CPB’s strategic views, Citi Institutional research and according to market conditions, and 3) enhance the internal and external client experience.
  • Partners with Bankers and Investment Counselors to engages in holistic client dialogues to broaden usage of capital markets investment solutions in core and opportunistic portfolios, as well as to hedge risks associated with portfolios, concentrated positions, and liabilities.
  • Provides education & marketing to the salesforce that goes beyond product to cover best practices for identifying opportunities, positioning, sizing, and implementation.


  • Lead coverage for Brazil and other CPB Latinamerica sub-regions to grow participation in capital markets solutions.
  • Develop relationships with ICs and Bankers and partner with regional management to define and implement a strategic vision for the client base.
  • Build a strong knowledge of CPB’s Investment platform, portfolio construction methodology and investment philosophy in order to better position the capital markets product offering in the context of investment portfolios and wealth management needs.
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Structuring, Asset Class specialists and Execution Desks to be aware of prevailing market trends, applicable strategies and new trade ideas.
  • Provide internal education and marketing to ICs and bankers and partner with them to understand client needs and identify salient solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings, events, and roadshows to help promote the most salient ideas and solutions across all asset classes.  
  • Coordinate regional sales efforts and at times lead marketing initiatives, including creating marketing and educational content. 
  • Demonstrate particular consideration for our clients’ best interests, the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, by compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 8+ years’ experience in financial markets in Buy and/or Sell side with Markets Strategy and/or Institutional, Corporate or Private Bank expertise. 
  • In depth knowledge of multi asset class derivatives, structured products and the benefits that these solutions can provide to family office and UHNW clients
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience with Brazilian clients, markets and regulations. Cross border & multiple markets experience desired.
  • Fluent Portuguese and English required (Spanish desired).
  • Ability to demystify complex concepts/strategies and make them digestible to internal salesforce and Private Bank client base
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and listening)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with comfort working with large amounts of data (programming skills desired)
  • Motivated personality and ‘team player’ attitude, with the willingness to take initiative
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines successfully, and manage multiple projects at a time   
  • Series 7, 66 required


  • Bachelor's/University degree required; MSc, MBA or specialized Certifications (CFA, CQF, CAIA, other) preferred
