Job Description

At Citi, the Investor Relations team (IR) is responsible for effectively communicating Citi’s strategy and financial performance to equity and fixed income institutional investors and research analysts. IR develops and communicates the firm’s financial and strategic messaging to these stakeholders on an ongoing basis to provide an accurate and current understanding of Citi and to ensure that Citi maintains a stable, high-quality investor base and generates interest from new investors. This also includes educating our investors about Citi’s overall corporate sustainability efforts, including our role in the transition to a low-carbon economy. IR accomplishes these goals in several venues including Citi’s quarterly earnings calls, semi-annual fixed income investor review calls, industry conferences and meetings. Additionally, IR works closely with senior management and the Board of Directors to explain the market’s perception of and outlook on Citi to inform strategic decision making. This role will report to the Head of Investor Financial Analytics but will also provide support to the Head of Fixed Income & ESG Investor Relations.  


  • Assist in managing relationships with institutional investors and research analysts and stay abreast of qualitative and quantitative changes to estimates, and regulatory capital requirements models
  • Assist in the preparation of external disclosures, including quarterly earnings releases as well as quarterly and annual SEC filings
  • Assist in developing materials for equity and fixed income investor engagements, including meetings, conferences and Investor Days
  • Monitor change in shareholder ownership and bondholder trends, and report to senior management as needed
  • Analyze Citi’s current equity valuation and credit spreads to assess our relative positioning in global competitive landscape
  • Assist with overall efforts to integrate ESG into IR’s strategic messaging and investor engagement  


  • 3+ years of financial services experience in research, investment banking (debt capital markets), treasury,  investor relations or ESG-related ratings company is preferred. Having an especially strong foundation in fixed income markets is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demands
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; keen attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Sound business judgment and ethics


Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
