Responsibilities
Role: Institutional Credit Management (ICM) is seeking an experienced Product Development professional, focusing on LoanIQ Implementation. This role will aim to streamline and simplify end-to-end technology processes across all ICG Wholesale lending businesses. This person will work closely with others focused on this initiative, across front office, credit risk, finance, operations, and technology to help execute strategic goals.
Background: Institutional Credit Management (ICM) at Citi was formed to transform the way we execute on one of our core capabilities, Wholesale Credit. We work across all areas of the business, including banking, risk, operations, Loan and Trade Operations, and technology, for products spanning investment banking, commercial real estate, trade services, private banking, and commercial loans. We are expanding our Product Management team to partner with each of our core capabilities as we work to transform Credit Review and Monitoring, Lending Originations, and Transaction Management. In this role you will work closely with Banking teams, Risk managers, Finance and Technologists to understand their unique challenges and devise solutions which align to the overall enterprise strategy. You will act as a product owner, responsible for the full execution of your projects, through requirements, design, training, and implementation. You will be supported by the partnership of our team and the surrounding wholesale lending franchise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle and scope releases, agreeing to and tracking business priorities, incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements
- Create a product vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding roadmap to delivery
- Provide leadership within the Product Development team and represent your workstream in cross-functional working groups
- Partner with Transaction Management, Loan Operations and other stakeholders to deliver on a multi-year roadmap for automated loan booking
- Help define the proposed target state architecture ensuring that they align to business needs, resolving problems identified in existing disparate processes
- Provide meaningful feedback on input received from other working group stakeholders, developing a consensus on key business requirements
- Ensure all requirements are clearly documented, approved and developed per specification
- Work with in-business partners to ensure successful adoption and implementation are achieved
- Present senior management with proposed strategies and updates
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Candidate is required to have a BA/BS
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, Technology or Business consulting, with leadership or management roles
- Experience leading large-scale cross functional transformation projects with preferred experience related to lending
- Deep knowledge of LoanIQ, with implementation experience for other financial institutions
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities
- Articulate, polished presenter with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets
- Proven track record as change agent, with ability to encourage and embrace innovative ideas and solutions
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Front office experience or interest in origination and portfolio management for lending and securitization products
- Knowledge of systems engineering or database administration
