Organization & Department Overview:
The ICG Chief Data Office (CDO) is critical to managing Citigroup's businesses and to meet numerous regulatory and management reporting requirements. The ICG CDO partners with Citigroup's Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO), ICG businesses, operations & technology, as well as Global Functions including Finance, Risk, and Compliance in an enterprise-wide data quality management discipline continuously striving to improve, monitor, measure, and control data quality. This team's remit also includes delivering project management, business analysis, and strategic planning services leading to improved controls and efficiencies in infrastructure and operational processes. The ICG CDO is responsible for planning, implementation, communications, training, compliance monitoring, and establishment of Citigroup's Controlled Data Management Environment supporting our Enterprise Information Assets.

This is a senior role within the ICG CDO organization and will be responsible for leading initiatives for ICG Data Governance, Metrics and Data Certification and will support the ICG CDO in initiatives to implement and facilitate adoption of the Enterprise CDO Data Quality Strategy. This position will interface with Enterprise Functions (Finance, Risk, and Compliance), and ICG Business, Operations & Technology teams.


  • Manage a team of business analysts and external consultants
  • Maintain a robust process for tracking and managing initiatives
  • Ensure monitoring to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and appropriate senior management escalation
  • Ensure compliance with Citigroup’s Data Management Policy and Standards
  • This is a high visibility and impactful role that also provides support for critical regulatory initiatives
  • Lead the adoption of Data Certification processes as part of the Data Operating Model to ensure ICG is in compliance to meet Consent Order established success criteria
  • Work with ECDO and ICG LoB’s (line of businesses) team on strategic initiatives
  • Establish requirements that align with external regulations or standards for the creation and maintenance of data by data producers.
  • Lead PMO activities and prepare status reports for working group, steering committee, and executives
  • Effectively manage ad hoc requests, upcoming projects, status preparation and communications for deliverables
  • Identifies key risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
  • Deliver and maintain a strong communication plan and artifacts among varied stakeholders (e.g., operations, technology, front office, compliance, legal, etc.)


  • Strong experience defining and implementing data quality programs in a large global bank or Big Four consulting firm.
  • 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in a project, program management, or operations role with project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related disciple preferred or equivalent experience in related field
  • People management experience required
  • Able to leverage strong business acumen to effectively interact with senior leaders and a broad variety of stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams through direct and matrix reporting lines.
  • Excellent design skills in power point presentations and dashboards to engage audience and communicate clearly through visuals
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to changes in priorities
  • Strong executive presence; confident in presenting a balanced view to key stakeholders and senior management


  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Data Quality/Data Management/BI tools Certification preferred.
