The ICG Controllers CCAR Coordination Lead will support the ICG Controllers CCAR Director Lead in leading and organizing the ICG Controllers CCAR response in partnership with Capital Planning initiatives.  In addition to working across ICG Controllers and Product Control, the role will work with a wide range of stakeholders including but not limited to the Central Independent Review and Challenge (IR&C) Team, FP&A, businesses, and operations for ICG related issues.  The role will prioritize ICG sector-related financial reporting, data remediation, and process improvement topics to help facilitate improved forecasting results.  The role will collaborate with the Central IR&C Team to help implement best practices as well as being involved in a consistent IR&C function that culminates with an IR&C of CCAR results.  The role will also continue to update awareness of risk issues and changes across relevant business units and use this knowledge to amend audit approach where necessary.  In addition, the role will also provide support across the ICG Controllers and ICG NAM Franchise Controllers organization on a wide range of strategic projects and organizational initiatives.

  • Provides support, analysis, and insight for the IR&C of the ICG CCAR PPNR Stress Testing process at Citi.

  • Organizing the efforts for each business unit in ICG to ensure there is sufficient, appropriate, and well-documented IR&C of CCAR model financial results and projections for each line of business.

  • Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication across functional areas, collaborating with the Central IR&C Team, Blue Box Controllers, and FP&A/LFOs for any ICG IR&C related issues.

  • Supports the efforts to enhance the current processes and identifies opportunities to help strengthen the process to facilitate improved forecasting results.

  • Supports the efforts with FP&A on aligning forecast products with financial reporting using current data standards.

  • Organizes the remediation of any data remediation gaps such as segment reporting swings, missing critical data elements, correcting off balance sheet notional, etc.

  • Ensures IR&C processes are complete within established timelines.

  • Identifies opportunities for standardization and centralization of IR&C processes, sharing best practices and recommending plans for implementation.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of financial services, financial planning and analysis, accounting. Regulatory reporting and CCAR specific experiences a plus.

  • Ability to directly support the ICG Controllers CCAR Director Lead and work with different levels of management across a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Broad experience in managing large complex cross-company production programs.  Able to construct effective solutions that meet cross-functional demands, ensuring conflicting requirements are addressed.

  • Strong leadership skills in order to support the ICG Controllers CCAR Director Lead – proven track record driving sustained change, ability to align cross functional teams and resources to fit the overall strategy, and to inspire confidence and provide common direction across functional peer groups.

  • Ability to provide complete, accurate and timely information to partners for reporting.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required to influence a wide range of audiences.  Strong writing skills required.

  • Ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity.

  • Sense of urgency in implementing processes and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented, and practical.

  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding timeframes and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/university degree or equivalent experience.

  • MBA and/or post graduate accounting / finance qualification e.g. CPA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
