Head of Small Business Deposit & Cash Management Products - Hybrid
Small Business has been identified as a key growth area for the Personal Banking & Wealth Management group (PBWM) over the next several years. Within PBWM the Products and Segments team is charged with developing market-leading value propositions and customer experiences that drive P&L growth by attracting, engaging and retaining business customers. As the SVP Head of Deposit and Cash Management Products, the successful candidate will lead a team that 1) Manages the current Deposit (Checking, Savings, Money Market, Escrow, CD) and Cash Management products/programs and the profitable growth of the product P&Ls 2) Leads the definition and development of the future best-in-class product set as part of the overall product line strategy 3) Redefines the customer experience to ensure intuitive and simple access to products 4) Executes on deposit product processor technology build and customer migrations as part of Project Catalyst 5) Partners with segment, payments, marketing, branch, digital and sales to grow the product offering and usage. This role will report to the Head of Small Business Products and Segments.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage the Deposit (Checking, Savings, Money Market, CD) and Cash Management P&Ls; partner with key stakeholders to identify trends and develop strategies to achieve financial growth goals
Lead the strategic evolution of small business deposit and cash management product set at Citi including customer experience enhancements, simplified products, new products and digital features
Synthesize learnings from data analytics, competitive market intelligence, customer and market research to craft product strategies and associated business cases that address the essential financial operating needs of small businesses.
Lead deposit product processor development work and customer migrations as part of Project Catalyst including technology requirements, customer experience flows, controls development
Drive product/project execution. Collaborate with Product, Segment, Pricing, Marketing, Distribution, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Controls partners in execution planning, launch activities, and post-launch assessments.
Partner with ICG/TTS and Payments team on evolution of Cash Management suite of products/services
Manage audit resolutions and corrective action plans where necessary to drive operational excellence (regulatory compliance, operational risk management, etc.).
Lead a team of four managers.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of relevant experience
Proven track-record of developing customer-driven product strategies and portfolio growth
Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic and executional aspects of product development and enhancement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders including technology projects
Experience with banking products; small business deposit and cash management products experience a plus
In-depth knowledge of industry and competitor products/services; familiarity with operating needs of small businesses a plus
Intellectual agility. High degree of comfort with ambiguity. Innovative thinker with a track record of challenging the status quo and devising creative solutions to solve problems and overcome hurdles.
Ability to work unsupervised, handle multiple, competing objectives and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Strong people leader
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
