Job Description:

The Digital PM Sr Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers.  The role requires thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. A good understanding of the Payments specifically Electronic Money Movement industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning. May be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Excellent communication skills are required in order to influence internally & externally, often at a senior level.


Set the direction: help to define the product vision and strategy, and work with world-class engineers and members of cross-functional teams to execute on that vision

Work closely with different stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities in defining product features

Figure out what to build: own the long-term view (3-5 years) and complete portfolio within the category/division

Understands companywide assets and is able to align leadership of dependent teams on necessary structural and/or resource changes to deliver efficiencies

Develops new ideas/solutions outside product/service offering

Collect customer and stakeholder input for the development of technical requirements and product priorities

Design, build, and launch: aid in defining a clear direction that meets the strategic goals of the business, ensuring the team delivers on the goals

Responsible for writing product requirements, user stories and manage a product roadmap

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are prioritized, implemented and validated

Responsible for identifying and performing gap analysis on current product offering and future state

Assess cross-project impacts and take steps to resolve issues, particularly those standing in the way of progress,

Manage and optimize: prioritize among the myriad of opportunities to deliver on the user experience, define success and work with engineers, designers and key business leaders to deliver

Analyze, manage, iterate and track the continued success of features in production

Participate in process and quality improvement activities, and end of sprint and release retrospectives

Partner with business on active sales funnel management, with end-to-end journey traceability & real time tracking of goals

Own the test and learn roadmap to inform the product portfolio

Leadership: demonstrates ability to attract senior talent and multiple functions from inside and outside Citi.

Teaches others how to determine performance and sets a leadership bar

Facilitates an understanding of broader organizational tenets and strategic goals for departments

Recognizes trends for larger-scale development needs within and across teams and builds plan to develop skills

Ensures team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Around 15 years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years' managerial experience

Experience in a regulated Financial Services industry in which privacy and security are paramount.

Experience and expertise in creating and managing Money Movement services for Retail bank and Enterprise customers

Experience in Zelle, ACH, Same day ACH, Next Day ACH, FedWire, CHIPS, RTP in the U.S, RTP in International markets, SWIFT, Push to Debit, FX Management

Leadership experience in a context of profound organizational and cultural change

Expert knowledge of the Design Thinking methodology and experience leading teams through the process of investigation, ideation and implementation

Deep consumer product knowledge and passion around emerging technologies and how they will change experiences

Digital Product management experience in Payments and Money Movement

Possess comprehensive capabilities and product knowledge to architect targeted segment solutions leveraging existing capabilities and/or 3rd party commercial partnerships

Demonstrated ability to deliver developer-focused tools and platforms


Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience

Lead a Digital Product Management team owing a portfolio of Digital Money Movement Products including domestic and cross border money movement, retail & cards Bill Pay & the evolving real-time payment capabilities. The role provides a platform to shape the digital money movement strategy across multiple consumer banking segments like Cards, Retail, Wealth & SME & deliver market leading solutions and experiences.
