GSP In-business CRO/RMH Desk is seeking a highly motivated individual to develop a comprehensive risk monitoring and management framework globally within credit, municipal and securitized markets.  The individual needs to follow and understand the market dynamics and risk utilizations of every desk across asset classes within spread products, and identify any rising material systemic and idiosyncratic risks for the business and help coming up with trade ideas and design hedging strategies to mitigate emerging key risks.

Job Description Details:

Title: VP or Director

Role:      Global Spread Products consists of ~50 trading desks globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets.  The Global Spread Products Chief Risk Office is responsible for overlooking and managing market risks across desks globally within the business, and designing / managing risk mitigating hedging strategy.  Our team has many responsibilities, including:

·       Identify and monitor systemic and idiosyncratic risks across businesses and identify any rising material risk events

·       Closely track the performance of every product within GSP on a regular basis, understand the drivers of market movements across different asset classes, analyze notable trends to form relative value and forward looking view of material risks

·       Develop a holistic view of market risk sensitivities within business, and design appropriate hedging strategy that mitigate the most relevant systemic risks for GSP

·       Responsible for executing and managing the risk mitigating hedging strategy, monitor the performance of the strategy including timing and exit point

·       Work closely with independent risk teams in coming up appropriate risk limits for the overall business and monitor risk limit utilizations across businesses

·       Coordinate with business heads and technology team to develop a robust and comprehensive risk monitoring framework that allows the business to manage the overall risk positions in real time

·       Understand firm’s overall risk appetite and capital framework to allow effective optimization and allocation of risk appetite

·       Strengthen risk monitoring, control and governance process within the business

GSP CRO/RMH Desk is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong understanding of one of the following areas: spread products, macro trading and relative value strategies, prior experience in credit trading and/or research is preferred.  Job responsibilities include helping on all of the above responsibility within the CRO office.

Required skills include:

·Ability and strong interest to learn and understand new asset classes and its associated risks

·Strong analytical/quantitative background with ability to analyze relative value cross-asset trading strategies

·Experience with trading and risk management of derivative products

·Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, in coordination with trading desks, research department, independent risk and technology teams

·Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities

·Strong MS Excel, Bloomberg and problem solving skills

·Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets and trading

·6+ years of Trading or Research experience within Fixed Income with a focus in Credit (Cash & Derivatives)
