Balance Sheet Initiatives

Managing data, creating an analysis, and championing your argument in the face of critical challenge is your primary objective as an Associate for Balance Sheet Initiatives. Senior management depends on data to drive their decisions and planning, and your work will form the foundation of Citi’s strategy. As a member of the Balance Sheet Initiatives team, you and your team will focus on driving change globally with FRM’s partners to improve data quality, business decisions, and regulatory education in order to realize firm-wide savings. Metrics of focus include Liquidity Stress Metrics, Risk Weighted Assets, Return on Tangible Common Equity, GSIB, and more.

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and significant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Math, Financial Engineering, Physics or related field
  • 3+ years Relevant experience in the Financial Services industry or data analytics
  • Proven analytical skills for developing data analysis and quantitative strategies
  • A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm
  • An ability to manage personal workload and agenda independently but in alignment with the priorities of the business unit
  • Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional Front Office environment
  • Familiarity with large scale data and querying ability is preferred
  • A foundational understanding of Basel III legislature

Additionally, the candidate should have an appetite to develop a detailed understanding of the following areas:

  • Basel III capital regulations
  • ICG products and services
  • ICG support operations and technology systems architecture
