The Data Sr Lead Analyst is as a crucial member of the Finance Transformation Office’s Team. The Sr Lead Analyst will be part of a broader Governance team that focuses on data and program management best practices and compliance. This role will influence and establish efforts to standardize, transform, and automate processes used to track and measure data policy compliance within the Transformation Initiatives as well as other Finance led initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary role will be accountable for identifying and driving end results relative to data issue remediation and Data Governance capability adoption across key finance disciplines.

  • Lead analysis and efforts with the governance team to define policy and procedures designed to provide oversight and governance of the CDMP policy across Finance working closely with CDGO (Chief Data Governance Office)

  • Establish best practice methods to track and measure progress against data management standards such as data domains, data elements, data issues, working closely with data transformation leads

  • Communicate policy requirements with Senior members of the Finance organization, drive discussions and influence adoption of data standards, working closely with data transformation teams across all Finance disciplines

  • Drive project management capabilities to ensure implementation of new data policy standards, including the recruitment and hiring schedule of CDMP specific roles supporting the Finance organization.

  • Support the DGO (Data Governance Office) through detailed analysis, reporting, and tracking of policy initiatives across finance functions, transformation program leads, and other governance responsibilities. 

  • Drive quarterly reviews, including progress towards compliance of data elements, data domains, data quality issues, scorecard metrics and other data requirements in conjunction with Data Stewards and other data roles.

  • Awareness of and work towards closure of key regulatory commitments, in conjunction with CDGO and Internal Audit; provide regular updates to senior data management committees

  • Work with DGO analysts to develop new KPIs and Metrics to track overall health of data management compliance, leveraging best practices

  • Support annual reviews and assessment across Finance disciplines

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Governance, Oversight and/or compliance functions in one or more of the designated specializations mentioned above with proven success in project execution.

  • Strong adherence to Risk & Control culture; support and advocate for compliance standards

  • Experience in supporting the development and implementation of new business processes  

  • Solution-oriented, consensus builder, and ability to influence adoption and change

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues

  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Excellent organizational and strong results orientation

  • Analytical mindset to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations

  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work

  • Experience within the Financial Services or another regulated industry is preferred.

  • Knowledge or familiarity with DAMA (Data Management Assoc) industry standards is preferred
