The Equity Quantitative Trader and Strategist is a responsible for developing and testing trading strategies and developing tools to facilitate risk decisions, in coordination with the Trading team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the trading book delivers on budgeted revenues by providing quantitative support, and systematizing workflows.

•    Develop, test, and deploy tools to facilitate risk decisions
•    Backtest trading strategies and make improvements to existing strategies
•    Automate various workflows and processes
•    Research, develop and backtest novel strategies or engineer improvements to existing strategies
•    Improve on existing infrastructure and ideate novel risk management tools
•    Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
•    Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
•    Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
•    Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
•    Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe

•    2-8 years of experience in a related role
•    Knowledge of equity markets
•    Knowledge of Python, experience with Databases (KDB preferred), Linux
•    Risk management experience preferred but not required
•    Advance analytical and numerical competency
•    Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
•    Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•    Knowledge of Bloomberg, trading protocol, market structure

•    Bachelor’s degree/University degree in a STEM subject
