Responsibilities
The Enterprise Master & Reference data Governance Lead Analyst is a critical member of the Enterprise Reference data strategy function, responsible to operationalize the governance framework and supporting processes to effectively govern master and reference data across Citi. The responsibilities will include implement relevant processes to govern domain level capabilities and data Lifecyle capabilities and ensure all relevant governance forums and working groups are functioning efficiently. A good understanding of business processes across client onboarding, operations, risk and finance within the financial services industry and data management is essential. This position requires a thorough understanding of enterprise data capabilities combined with practical experience of implementing them in a complex organization. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
- Define Master and reference data governance processes, framework components
- Define and document process steps, governance forums and roles and responsibilities to effectively govern master data
- Partner with LOB CDO functions to enable reference data governance framework implementation and represent ECD ref data governance function in LOB forums
- Continuously monitor and report governance metrics including data governance adoption and maturity
- Ensure alignment to the enterprise data governance policy and standards to meet its specific requirements.
- Ensure the Enterprise ref data processes and tooling are adopted in a manner that creates value for businesses to adopt.
- Work with federated CDO functions and business functions to ensure that the governance objectives, framework, and processes are well understood and meets business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with ICG and Personal Baking business and technology to identify gaps in current data domain and lifecycle governance and management processes.
- Partner with Ref data strategy, Quality and Adoption functions and ECDO governance and quality leads to ensure alignment to Enterprise data strategy and Ref data strategy
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated Data Analyst and process engineering skillset in master and reference data domains in finical / banking industry
- Advanced understanding of Project management methodologies and tools
- Senior level experience in a related role.
- Subject matter expert in at least one related area.
- Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
- Experience in leading the establishment of data capabilities at an enterprise level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, appreciation of the enterprise data vision.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in absence of detailed instructions.
- Impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate effectively with management, vendors, and global teams.
- Ability to influence senior Data Governance, Operations, Risk, Finance, and other key business stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both upwards and downwards, across organizational levels.
- Flexible, team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
