Data Lead for TTS Service and Operations - VP
Service and Operations Data Lead who will execute on complete service and operations data in the lake, build the complete business data model for this area, bring together data governance and data quality, eliminate EUC, ensuring constant improvement in data quality, data access compliance with Citi’s policies, Regulatory data requirements, adherence to country and Client’s data privacy and consent agreements and respond to consent order data requirements.
Citi is seeking a strong hands-on data lead who understands banks service and operational data to execute on this agenda. This Data Leader will interface with multiple business stakeholders to understand needs/priorities and pave the path for making sure complete data and business model is engineered and built in the lake, track and eliminate EUC, consolidate tooling’s and develop business KPIs to track progress.
Responsibilities:
Works hand on Treasury Trade Solutions service and operations data, bring it from different sources, check for quality and build and client view or a regulatory view on the data
Implement the TTS Producer / Consumer data strategy model and support underlying data management processes - data process mapping, lineage, and data cataloging
Act as product owner / manager for Service and operational data foundation, lineage, quality, discovery, and data work to satisfy the regulatory requirements.
Work with Service and operational stakeholders, inventory EUC, bespoke metrics and capture requirements for data and use cases
Design and deploy datasets that can be leveraged as the single source of truth for all reporting and analytics for regulators, business stakeholders, and client use cases
Implement data standards, lineage and cataloguing working with data governance and strategy teams
Build the full business data model for service and operations
Conceive value-adding insight, predictions, and recommendations to drive growth, optimize profit and returns
Develop user/persona focused delivery of insights, that drives usage and impact
Work cross functionally with data producing platforms, and Agile SCRUMs of data scientists and tech engineers for conformance and delivery
Understand the drivers of business results, develop KPIs and help accelerate outcomes; drive theory to execution with business partners to directly impact results
Deliver on consent order data items
Unlock new value through data sharing / data exchanges with external clients
Continually, succinctly, and clearly communicate progress and results against the data/analytics agenda to stakeholders across the organization
Investigate and leverage - Continually “bring the outside in” to learn and deploy best practices from other organizations or industry forum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Math, Operations Research, engineering or science or other related fields; Master's is a plus
5+ years experience in related field of financial service and operations
Experience working as a product manager or product owner, leading Agile teams for data/analytics outcomes
Hands on experience working with large volumes of data and strong understanding of data analytics - traditional business analytics and modern data science techniques
Familiarity with Data management and modelling concepts, canonical Data models
Experience in leading the designing, developing, or managing Data / analytics solutions
Can understand business needs and translate into data needs, analytical execution, including the supervision and review of the analysis, with a critical eye
Can innovate new use cases and evaluate business impact
Can interface with technology to create user stories plan and groom Agile sprints
Experienced in Big Data & Analytics Technologies is a must such as Python, Spark, Hive, Impala, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc…
7+ years relevant experience in the industry for critical data elements, conformance and hands-on building holistic datasets for business analytics
Project Management Skills preferred
Strong experience in with Data Domains & Governance, Data Mining, data ingestion & conformance, data catalog and data privacy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook (5+ years)
Cloud experience would be preferrable
