Data Governance Strategic Initiatives Lead
Citi’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) was established in 2020 to oversee the company’s regulatory engagement, project management and to lead transformation efforts. Now, the CAO organization has grown to over 600 employees and is at the center of a multi-billion dollar transformation that will shape the future of the company over the next coming years. CAO is fast-growing and is in need of motivated talent for the Data Governance Strategic Initiatives team. The Data Governance Strategic Initiatives manager is seeking a program delivery lead.
This role will:
- Partner with CAO to ensure alignment and focus on critical initiatives, manage key projects and deliverables, and oversee strategic coordination
- Identify areas of opportunity for improvement and standardization across ECDO/FCDO, drive issue resolution and tracking of open items to closure
- Serve as trusted advisor to the Data CAO, engage in committees/working groups and share what is working well and define key priorities for improvement
- Know the Data landscape and participate in and influence management discussions, strategy, and approach
- Interact with and establish strong partnerships with individuals across Citi at all levels, businesses, and locations, providing a broad understanding of the organization while building relationships throughout Citi
Responsibilities:
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
- Identifies stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships.
- Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.
- Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
- Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.
- Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
- Directs the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
- Manages multiple teams or a functional area (depending on size of business).
- Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall business management experience in a complex, financial organization, with particular focus in data space highly preferred
- Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to act independently, work quickly and with careful attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
