Responsibilities
As a part of Citi’s effort to reduce risk, improve efficiencies and minimize complexity of its human and technical operations, the Enterprise Architecture Data Capability and Adoption Readiness Group has been tasked to develop / enhance foundational data capabilities, tools and operating models which will improve processes, data, and technology footprint of the bank.
The Data Capability Operations Team is responsible for ensuring effective adoption, complete population and integrity of Operating Facts generated as output from Citi Enterprise Architecture Methodology (CEAM) and Data Operating Model (DOM). The team also works alongside Data Operating Model policy roles (e.g., FCDOs, ECDOs, Data Owners), and CEAM colleagues (e.g., enterprise architects) to ensure smooth training in, and operationalization of, our capabilities as well as consistent delivery of data capabilities content and training.
The Data Capabilities Operations & Adoption Readiness Group Manager (Director) position is accountable for driving one or more data capability projects that are complex, critical, and within large professional disciplinary areas. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function or multiple functions such as finance, risk, loans, cards, or investment banking businesses and how they interact. The role will interact with other members of the Data Capability Product Teams and work with them to design and deliver a complete data capability package focusing on the "Adoption Readiness" of the data capability.
Specifically, the candidate will:
Responsible for managing processes related to developing data capability enablement adoption readiness work plans, schedules, status updates, reporting, project estimates, and identify necessary resource plans/resource allocation.
Works with key business stakeholders to define and set strategic direction for enterprise wide and global scope adoption readiness plans; as well as assessing delivery risks and resolving enterprise-wide problems.
Requires sophisticated analytical and strategic thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations and drive progress towards.
Job requires the ability to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions, and current knowledge of data capability enablement areas.
Maintains continuous awareness of data issues, trends, best practices, and acts as a consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions for enterprise-wide data enablement solutions.
Utilizes excellent communication skills to negotiate internally often at senior level, combined with some external communication.
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
10-15 years experience in a related data role and subject matter expert in overall field
Excellent executive communications skills
Demonstrated facility to interact and work effectively with diverse teams
Ability to lead projects with multiple counterparts across organizations
People management experience required
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams through direct and matrix reporting lines.
Adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to changes in priorities
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience,
Masters degree preferred but not a must
