The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Regulatory Group resides within Citi Global Public Affairs (GPA). Global Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders.

This position is part of the new CRA Modernization & Transformation team that is being formed to respond to the OCC’s CRA Final Rule and other CRA regulatory initiatives. The position will play a critical role in partnering directly with the four other functions within the CRA Regulatory Group: CRA Analysis, CRA Governance & Policy, CRA Verification, and CRA Regulatory Reporting, and in collaboration with businesses across the franchise to align strategies and monitor CRA-related performance, while managing regulatory relationships and working to preserve Citi’s position as a leader in an evolving regulatory environment.

The CRA Database Analyst accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CRA data Warehouse with end-to-end capability, infrastructure & process improvement plan to support improved quality service.

  • Create and run queries for use in reporting and data analysis linking disparate data sources across Teradata, SQL Server and Oracle platforms both on an ad-hoc basis as well as automated jobs utilizing ETL tools such as SSIS and Autosys.

  • Oversee end-to-end automation process, identifying automation needs, documenting to understand and execute against project scope, and partnering alongside key partners to design and implement automation that matches the need of the CRA Regulatory Group.

  • Perform automation monitoring and tuning, participating in process redesign and making recommendations on improvements for current automation solutions when possible.

  • Administer CRA SQL Server databases and instances

  • Administer CRA MySQL databases and instances

  • Assure backups, redundancy and DR plan functioning and available at all times

  • Implement and maintain necessary processes to assure data integrity and periodic validations

  • Configure and maintain database and related servers and systems

  • Create, modify and improve existing system queries

  • Monitor and maintain system's health, availability, security and performance

  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time

  • Assist with deployment and configuration of SSIS, Analysis services and SSRS sites and tools

  • Provide proactive and extensible solutions, short and long term

  • Partner with other teams to meet goals

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of direct, relevant regulatory experience in both business-focused technology and a business consulting role, preferably in financial services.

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA role with multiple and concurrent systems.

  • 2+ years of experience with MY SQL Server Administration experience.

  • Strong experience/advanced knowledge of designing conceptual, logical & physical data models and generating initial Data Definition Language.

  • Very strong database design/development experience using Oracle 11G/12C

  • Ability to create a comprehensive reporting system by connecting SQL server to Tableau and create automated dashboards.

  • Expert in SQL & PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions and other database objects.

  • Strong working knowledge of Linux environment and use of Linux/UNIX utilities and shell scripting

  • Solid troubleshooting skills with ability to engage Global DBA teams in addressing data issues.

  • 3 years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).

  • Knowledge of CRA Wiz, Data Visualization and Database tools.

  • Effective analytic/diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.

  • Past track record of being able to work on teams, with teams and independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent ability to operate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other data management

  • Other relevant technology certifications will be a plus (i.e. Oracle Certification, MS SQL Server Certification).
