The Americas Banking team is the product management organization within the Citi Private Bank responsible for the strategic direction of core products, including deposits, cash management services and credit cards. Clients for these services include Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Families, Family Offices and Law Firms.

This position reports into Citi Private Bank’s Americas Banking Product Management Head. This individual have the opportunity to work across all Banking product offerings between Deposits, Cash Management Services, Retail and Credit Cards.

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other role-related duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

Americas Liquidity

  • Ownership of the design, development, pilot, and launch of liquidity solutions to meet client needs across various Citi deposit platforms (Flexcube, Systematics, IMPACs)
  • Ownership of product development lifecycle: building the business case (with quantifiable ROI), writing BRDs, working with Tech partners to oversee development, participate in UAT testing, developing / updating internal processes to support product implementation and service, and working with Sales partners to market and launch in the market
  • Ensure that products are properly linked to downstream financial systems (i.e. Fullsuite, Genesis, Pearl, Ruby, PBMS) for P&L and CPB Balance Sheet attribution
  • Enhance product set to ensure CPB’s offering remains competitive in terms of capability and client experience
  • Work with Balance Sheet team; stay abreast of the short-term market, deposit trends and proposed transfer pricing changes in order to analyze the resulting financial impact on the business
  • Governance of Product Development Roadmap, ensuring engagement from stakeholders and on time delivery of product changes
  • Partner with internal Citi product partners/ platform providers in CPB, CCB, Consumer Bank and TTS in order to ensure alignment of development roadmap
  • Act as primary point of contact for escalations, client issues and work closely with Service and Bankers

LATAM Banking

  • Oversight of Liquidity, Retail Banking, Credit Cards and Cash Management product, working closely with channel owners on the team

Overall Risk & Compliance

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Maintains product policies that ensure compliance with existing business risk and controls framework; reviews opportunities to enhance controls
  • Ownership of account-related documentation, including T&Cs and client disclosures

Qualifications

Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of Deposit, Balance Sheet, or Product Development experience
  • Demonstrated track record of working with multi-functional partners as well as influencing within a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with urgency
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Design Thinking, User Journey Mapping, Lean UX and/ or Agile Development preferred
  • Experience with Credit Cards a plus

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication + interpersonal skills with the ability to present internally and externally with Citi partners and senior management
  • Comfort with large data sets; strong Excel skills
  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to changing environment and systems                                     
  • Capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems
  • Highly organized and responsive 
  • Self-motivated and goal orientated
  • Ability to think outside the box to effectively improve processes and enhance products
