Records Management is a risk management activity that is regulated by governments and mandated by Citi Policies, standards, and mandates.  The ICG Records Management Program Office operates as a global facilitator and independent centralized risk control utility for all ICG businesses. 

The role will focus on the regulatory execution of key initiatives  pertaining to recordkeeping such as SEC Security Based Swaps, Data Privacy (CCPA, GDPR),  SEA 17a-3 / 17a-4 and Dodd Frank requirements . This role will also operate as a global facilitator to ensure compliance with Citi Records Management Policy. 

The employee will work very closely with Compliance, Corporate Records Management and Business/Functional areas to make certain the firm remains compliant with these  external rules addressing any changes to rules. They will serve as a strategic advisor providing consulting support for all aspects of the Citi Records Management Policy. 

Key Responsibilities:

The position holder will be responsible for some or all of the following:

  • Serve as strategic advisor by being the primary interface to the business providing consulting support for all aspects of the program
  • Assess and review the comprehensiveness, usability and quality of Records Management Unit of the business for compliance and appropriate risk management
  • Establish and maintain an organizational structure of records management  to drive  accountability and measure program effectiveness.
  • Support development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures across the business.
  • Identify opportunities and establish for process improvement across all areas of the Citi and ICG business programs.
  • Improve senior management’s visibility Records Management risks and regulatory and compliance implications.
  • Aptitude to execute the Records Management Officer role potentially locally in India and/or Asia Pacific region as required.
  • Deliver training and awareness to empower business to manage their records commitments.


  • Working knowledge of corporate structures and general business practices.
  • Working knowledge of risk management and/or records management disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of audit, policy and regulatory control structures.
  • Able to develop and implement risk management strategies and plans based on generally accepted standards

  • Strong oral and written communications skills; able to influence a broad range of stakeholders including senior management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet time commitments; Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical abilities; Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office software products
  • Takes responsibility and demonstrates ownership of issues demonstrating management control of delegated tasks
