The Citi Private Client Relationship Manager (CPC RM) will be responsible for establishing, managing and deepening relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) clients with access to sophisticated products and tools, s/he will utilize a team-based approach to provide holistic solutions to complex financial needs.  The CPC RMs should be able to profile their clients, identify their needs and make appropriate recommendations by leveraging relationships with a team of Citi professionals.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary, single point of contact for HNW clients and manage all aspects of the client’s banking relationship with Citi.
  • Identify, build and deepen relationships to gain incremental wallet share of the high net worth segment through a superior customer experience.
  • Anticipate the complex financial needs of the client and offer potential solutions through a wide range of products, services and tools.
  • With the support of product specialists, profile and understand a client's banking, credit and investment needs and goals in order to provide holistic financial recommendations.
  • Provide regular value-added engagement with clients- High touch, face-to-face meetings at client's preferred location, consistent communication, access to seminars, etc.
  • Master referral opportunities to grow your portfolio. Proactively source, acquire and expand high value customer relationships by maximizing sale and service opportunities.
  • Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate (including, but not limited to CitiMortgage Home Lending Officers, CPWM Financial Advisors, Small Business Bankers, etc.)
  • Work with all roles on branch team to ensure all clients have a positive in-branch experience
  • Compliance Oversight and Controls. Every CPC client goes through account opening and periodic KYC/EDD remediation.  CPC RM needs to appropriately assess risk/reward relationships when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bank by applying sound ethical judgment regarding business practices. The impact of these risks on any part of the Citi organization should be adequately assessed, monitored, controlled and reported. 

This position requires to:

  • Comply with all regulatory policies and control procedures regarding client transactions and suitability. Effectively communicate potential risks to the client.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the following processes: Investment Objective Setting (IOS), Client Risk Profile (CRF) and Periodic Client Reviews
  • Oversee and ensure clients are on-boarded appropriately including all required documentation is complete and accurate

  • 7+ years in financial services with a strong knowledge of banking, credit and investments products
  • Securities Licensed: Series 7 & Series 63
  • Life and Health required – with 60 days from hire date to obtain
  • 5+ years client facing experience, specifically; interacting with high-net worth clients and influencing their decision making
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sophisticated financial services and products appropriate for high net worth clients
  • Ability to establish relationships and partner effectively with other departments or businesses within Citi including sales, service, operations and compliance.
  • Driven to resolve client issues to provide the highest levels of client satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deepen and retain customer relationships
  • Attain personal satisfaction by contributing to the achievement of client's personal financial goals
This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities, to maintain and renew that registration on an annual basis, to update registration information with the Registry on a timely basis, and to provide that unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies and procedures.
