Position Description

We are seeking a committed and talented professional to join the CIM Product team as Lead Product Manager for Manager Onboarding and Administration.  The successful individual will lead the team responsible for the onboarding and administration of third party managers and the associated products that are distributed through Consumer in NAM & LatAm and CPB globally. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Understand and deliver on the strategic vision of the CGWI’s third-party manager business. Partnering with the teams within CGW and across Citi (e.g. Citi Private Bank, Global Consumer Bank and Functional Control partners) to coordinate and execute the end-to-end process of new product development. Manage complex projects, across multiple platforms and jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate, and identify opportunities to align, core product management functions across multiple investment offerings.
  • Engage with internal and external service providers and global operations teams to support and/or resolve distribution, servicing and operational queries
  • Managing effective and good relations with internal partners (Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance) by: Acting as owner of the product line and being held accountable; Establishing excellent working relationships with external business partners as an ambassador to Citi’s brand; Acting as advocate to senior management on all product management matters relating to product lines.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory or internal policy changes related to the product and the business and assessing implications or impact to the business of such changes; Partnering with key control functions (Legal, Compliance and Risk) to mitigate operational and enterprise-wide risks related to the distribution of the product line

The key characteristics of the ideal candidate for the position are:

  • Have experience managing a team and leading cross functional / matrixed teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment and buy-in across the organization
  • Extensive programme management experience in growth-oriented management consulting, private banking, financial services
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through a clear and consistent line of sight regarding critical work activities

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree and 10+ years working in the financial services industry with a focus on asset or wealth management. The candidate should have a track record of leading business product development, execution, and success in achieving business goals. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to work with various constituents, both internal and external, in exploring new opportunities and realizing business goals. The candidate should also have the ability and be comfortable working in a complex, global business across various geographies/cultures and business areas/groups/functions, with internal and external clients and across management levels

Core Competencies:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in asset or wealth management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional team to define and achieve high value business goals
  • Ability to both act independently and work well in multi-stakeholder teams to lead complex projects and drive initiatives to completion
  • Ability to work with various constituents, both internal and external, in exploring new opportunities and realizing business goals.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classes
  • Degree qualified
