Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is focused on serving the needs of clients across the entire wealth spectrum. It has been created by combining the Wealth Management businesses across Citi Global Consumer Bank and Citi Private Bank.   By building on the strengths and capabilities across Citi, we intend to transform the way we serve clients across the wealth spectrum, delivering the full range of high tech and high touch capabilities Citi can offer, and ultimately help them achieve their goals.

Citi Global Wealth serves over 500,000 clients across its global footprint in Asia, Europe, Mexico, and North America. It delivers the full range of wealth products across investments, banking, lending, insurance, trust services and financial planning & advice.

In Asia, Citi Global Wealth serves over 150,000 clients with its platforms residing within Hong Kong, Singapore, and the International Personal Banking franchises, and offers services to on and offshore clients.

The Role

The financial landscape has been quickly evolving over the past five years with change on multiple fronts, including evolving client needs, market entry of nontraditional competitors and a shifting landscape of emerging technology providers. This has significantly impacted the way we interact with our clients, the products we create and the strategies we deploy. To compete with fast growing entrants (e.g., Robinhood, Wealthfront, Stash, Acorns, etc.) we are focused on scaling our digital wealth capabilities and modernizing our overall technology stack and infrastructure

We're looking for a leader who has the experience creating, communicating, and executing an exciting and unifying vision for our digital channels and creating an end-to-end solution. Developing and leading a team of ambitious technologists and building strong and collaborative relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders to drive the vision forward is essential.  An ideal candidate will be comfortable with not only leading and influencing but also diving into the technical weeds and rolling up his/her sleeves.

The CGW Head of Digital Platforms will be accountable for the end-to-end client journey to help our CGW clients grow their wealth through advisory relationships. This leader will be responsible for Digital Channels for CG/CPC clients in US, APAC & EMEA, and for CPB and WaW clients globally.

The candidate must have experience in the following areas of wealth and banking technology:

  • Knowledge of wealth solutions including retirement, education funding, investment solutions, banking, lending, trust, custody and integration with providers. 
  • Experience defining new digital products, deploying digital-led technology product roadmaps, building collaboratively across a large enterprise. 
  • Ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and influence non-directs through data and a vision in a variety of contexts.
  • Deep consumer product knowledge and passion around emerging technologies and how they will change consumer experience. 
  • Expertise building products that continuously increase investment balances and deepen engagement products with existing customers while attracting new customers.
  • An overall excellent understanding of the industry combined with an understanding of the strategic direction as well as solid conceptual experience in subject area. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation.
  • Experience delivering at global scale and complexity
  • Developing, attracting and retaining talent to achieve above outcomes

Organizational Scope and Accountability

  • Accountable for client apps and websites used by CGW clients globally
  • Partner with leaders in CG/CPC, CPB and WaW businesses and Technology to develop digital strategy
  • Lead product roadmap and development for digital experiences to deliver outstanding client satisfaction. 
  • Coordinate overall digital channel roadmap stitching together roadmaps of all journey leads
  • Drive a consistent, integrated digital channel roadmap across all segments/regions.
  • Drive customer analytics for digital channels across CGW.
  • Expand tagging of key user journeys and drive reporting on all client activity in digital channels.
  • Responsible for team & people management (i.e. Build, groom, retain, quality management).
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior business partners, control organizations, other technology functions and external regulators and vendors.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

  • 15+ years' experience in Product Management with hands on knowledge and experience getting into details
  • 10+ years' managerial experience directly managing high-performing teams with demonstrable and measurable results
  • 8+ years' experience with digital product management, design, consulting, and/or management experience
  • Passion for product, design, technology, digital transformation and modernization
  • Deep knowledge of wealth solutions
  • Previous digital product, program/project management, digital technology, consulting, and/or management experience a must
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and influence non-directs through data and a vision in a variety of contexts
  • Sharp. You think on your feet, quickly come up with innovative solutions and are always one step ahead
  • Deep product and technical knowledge, with the ability to break down the work involved in solving them, and the impact of those decisions on business and product teams
  • Bring a mix of entrepreneurial/intrapreneurial, growth, and corporate-level scaled innovation leadership experience
  • Demonstrated consumer-centric mindset and communication skills
