We focus on enterprise resiliency and business continuity. We develop, coordinate, and execute strategic operational plans. Essentially, Enterprise Operations & Technology re-engineers client and partner processes to deliver excellence through secure, reliable, and controlled services.

The Transformation and Implementation team (T&I) within Enterprise Architecture (EA) acts as a catalyst across businesses and functions driving the transformation of Citi into a simpler, customer-centric organization.  T&I is responsible for partnering with business lines and functions to establish the framework for and execute the business transformation program, which includes developing enterprise-wide domain taxonomies, publishing standard playbooks and procedures, and creating process & design engineering models (process mapping and business architecture).  Enterprise Architecture also provides the businesses and functions with ongoing governance, program oversight, and metrics and reporting to ensure consistency, control and accountability as it relates to the program. 

The VP - Business Transformation & Implementation Lead will partner with leaders in the organization to execute business simplification projects and drive adoption of Citi Enterprise Architecture tools, capabilities, and artifacts to support programs such as Global Business Services and Operational Resilience. The ideal candidate will have experience leading project management, process improvement and change management.  The candidate will also play a key role in developing long-term plans and executing functional strategies requiring coordination and integration across units and for establishing coordination across the firm, streamlining known intersecting bodies of work, and providing transparency to senior Citi stakeholders across multiple services.  Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution to deliver solutions for the business focused on increasing operational efficiency, reducing process variation, and improving customer experience.
  • Owns a project or specific workstream within a project, leveraging expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project team.
  • Utilize business process reengineering techniques, model business processes, and conduct data analysis to examine end-to-end business processes to improve efficiency of operations.
  • Interfaces with different lines of businesses with a primary focus on PBWM and Risk and Control Functions (1st/2nd Line of Defense, ICRM, ORM).
  • Analyze processes and build workflows to understand value chain, input/output, to improve and/or automate business performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend change management techniques for quality improvements.
  • Assesses project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
  • Applies a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
  • Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues.
  • Create and monitor project plans. Prepares, maintains, and submits clear and concise activity/progress reports.
  • Identify and address program resource constraints (e.g.,  program management, SMEs, technology) in collaboration with T&I and provide staffing support for major initiatives to augment embedded staff, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in process reengineering or consulting within the banking industry sector.
  • Experience in transformation roles including in managing large complex cross-company transformation programs
  • General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
  • Expertise in process design and process improvement is a must. Compliance, Retail or Finance background preferred.
  • Expert in value stream mapping, root cause analysis, change management and project management.
  • Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Full understanding of life-cycle project management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean equivalent, or PMP are a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree and/or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred but not required
