This position is in the US Consumer Bank, supporting its data governance related functions as outlined in the CDMP and managed by the US Consumer Analytics (USCA) team. 

The US Consumer Analytics division drives data science and modeling work for Citi US Consumer bank division. On a daily basis analyst on the team review millions of prospects and billions of customer level transactions using big data tools and machine learning, AI techniques to unlock opportunities for our clients in meeting their financial needs and create economic value for the bank.

The Analytics Technology and Innovation team drives development of latest technology capabilities and drives work effort across analytics, reporting and technology in support of all our partners. The team extracts relevant insights, identifies business opportunities, converts business problems into data requirements and services, uses big data tools to acquire deeper insight of business problems, and designs go-to-market strategies for a huge variety of business problems.

What’s expected from you?

You will be responsible for working on the long-term strategic roadmap, and technological enhancements of our customer Hub Program for 360 Customer view, customer recognition across all platforms and enriching customer master data repository. We are seeking an experienced candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day-to-day role:

  • Define and understand requirements to create a Consumer Customer Hub platform to solve business use cases. Individual should be able to develop a deep understanding across Citi’s multiple lines of businesses and navigate significant data complexity while recommending a creative solution.

  • Contribute and deliver multiple and complex Strategy and Analytics projects related to various stakeholder groups. This would require an understanding of business context, conversion of business problems into best-in-class technical solutions and leading the technology team on implementing such solutions to create economic value.

  • Establish good working relationships with Lines of Business partners and technology team.

  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic process re-engineering projects, challenge status quo ,make business recommendations that impact a business’ strategic direction.

  • Ability to provide project management skills along with experience in tools like Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau.

  • Work in highly collaborative environment which requires clear and regular communication across multiple business and technology teams to achieve goals.

  • Ability to Create storytelling ppt for monthly senior executive reporting. Understand emerging trends, and set achievable goals, create/measure KPI’s

  • Experienced working with complex data sets to uncover insights or issues that will contribute to the product backlog. Derive insights from large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend and support various business challenges.

Skillset you should possess

The most important skill that our analyst should possess is their love for data, technology and their eagerness for new challenges & solving new problems. Apart from these, they should also have the following skillset

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Engineering Degree

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Management, Customer data, Customer Recognition platforms, Customer analytics, Financial services knowledge of Consumer Banking, Mortgage Credit Cards, Retail Banking

  • Experience working in agile methodologies

  • Participated in large scale data and business transformation projects

  • Work through multiple and conflicting stakeholder priorities

  • Strong data management background with hands on data discovery and insights/analytics experience

  • Ability to conceive of the big picture the business is aiming for and translate those into the program roadmap

  • Ability to collect specific customer and stakeholder needs and translate those to capabilities and features for the engineering team to deliver. Clearly articulate value of each use case for prioritization and present them to the management in a structured and simple form

  • Well versed with necessary data pre-processing and cleansing

  • Strong collaboration, communication and inter-personal skills, proactiveness

  • Strong process/project management skills

  • Control oriented with an understanding of embedding risk management into processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables seamlessly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to guide and mentor team members

  • Experience in Big Data Toolsets such as Python, Hive, SQL, Machine Learning/AI etc.

  • Experience working with and collaborating between onshore and offshore teams

  • Fast Learner with a desire to excel and attitude to partner and solve problems in complex environments placing business objectives at center of all activities

  • Richness of knowledge across channels analytics, journey development and achieving customer goals by orchestrating channels

  • Knowledge of customer data quality challenges and API integrations

  • Ability to translate and articulate technical thoughts and ideas to a larger audience including influencing skills with peers and senior management.

  • Self-motivated to continuously upgrade one's domain knowledge, keep abreast of latest developments in the field and evaluate its application in the business area on a consistent basis.
