The BP&A Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy. This role provides the Internal Audit organization with oversight and detail analysis of Internal Audit (IA) organizational design and headcount and recruiting reporting for all products and staff levels.  Manages organizational design reporting needs and activities across all product / function /regional audit teams in multiple locations.  Works closely with the Resource & Budget Management Director, SVP, senior analysts, as well as Chief Auditors across IA.  This role is a key member of the IA Resource and Budget Management team and works closely with key partners at Citi.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage organizational design (OD) strategy and continual alignment to strategy and managed segment structure for IA globally

  • Responsible for reviewing OD changes as it relates to supply & demand models, locations strategy, c-levels and management layers

  • Assist in forecasting and analyzing staffing with respect to trends in partnership with Finance, HR/Talent Acquisition, Operations & Technology, and key internal stakeholders

  • Manage reporting for staffing/headcount and recruiting initiatives

  • Manage the location strategy data and forecast headcount for key locations

  • Review attrition and transfers trends and highlight significant shifts to management

  • Manage and analyze resource reporting data/trends and provide periodic reporting to senior management clearly and concisely

  • Provide ad hoc analysis as deemed necessary working with the multiple stakeholders including EMT, HR, and Finance functions

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives

  • Ensure that established guidelines/policies are adhered to and updated as necessary

  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions

  • Directly reports and provides support to the Internal Audit Resource & Budget Management OD SVP

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and flexibility to work hours necessary to meet tight deadlines

  • A self-starter, self-confident individual who is detailed oriented, has well developed listening skills, can engage a small group and possess the ability to identify and escalate issues as they arise

  • Effective negotiation and data analysis skills.  This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including proficiency in Excel / Access/ PowerPoint
