The BCMA Loan Product Manager (BLPM) will take primary responsibility for ensuring that BCMA delivers a best-in-class lending experience to clients underpinned by a robust operational foundation. The BLPM will report jointly to the Global Heads of Corporate Banking and Debt Capital Markets. He/she will work closely with BCMA and franchise leadership around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the strategic end to end BCMA Loans program framework to gain maximum benefit from the loan product
  • Create and manage agenda for the BCMA Loans Governance forum including workstream development; critical follow-ups and cross-team coordination
  • Manage a small project management team as well as regional BCMA Loan Product heads
  • Work with ICG Operations & Technology, Institutional Credit Management and other ICG businesses to ensure BCMA client and product needs are fully reflected in any shared platform design and operations
  • Develop system standards for extending loans including operational controls and data management
  • Working with internal partners (BCMA management, Global Capital Management, Institutional Credit Management, O&T, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and other partners) to continually assess Loan Product efficacy with an eye on further improvements. 
  • Act as responsible BCMA executive for BCMA Loans-related remediation projects such as FRY-14 Data, regulatory reporting remediation, LoanIQ implementation, etc.
  • BCMA LIBOR Lead:
    • Manage BCMA LIBOR Transition globally including orderly transition the loan product away from LIBOR floating rates into new alternative rates (first LIBOR rates to cease by end 2022)
    • Manage BCMA LIBOR  the team to ensure timely completion of project plan milestones and reporting requirements
    • Work with other ICG businesses and the Citi Central LIBOR team to ensure a coordinated approach
    • Handle key regulatory interactions
    • Communicate effectively with clients, corporate bankers and DCM teams
    • Set loan standards in an evolving market
    • Identify and mitigate conduct and operational risks
  • Primary BCMA management interface with ICM Transaction Management to ensure effective communication and execution
  • Manage financial budgeting and key performance indicators for BCMA Loans
  • Work with ICM and O&T with regards to design business strategy and needs (Front-end origination – Lynx; Back-end Loan servicing – Loan IQ;)
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Working together with Risk and Controls colleagues, assess product operational risks demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation, safety and soundness and the requirements of clients.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in banking, product/loan management experience or related activities
  • Experience managing across multi-function, global businesses
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve high value business goals
  • Broad and diverse functional experience (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics, technology)
  • Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
