Responsibilities

The COO, U.S. Personal Bank is currently seeking a talented, results oriented, and data-driven analyst to join the key Business Transformation & Strategic Initiatives team.

The U.S. Personal Bank organization delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses.   Our products and services cover a wide range of client banking needs including credit cards, basic banking, mortgages and investment advisory services.

To do so, we have aligned our structure with our strategy to ensure we win in the U.S., and drive greater client-centricity across product, segment and geography.

The COO, U.S. Personal Bank is currently seeking a candidate to support key Business Transformation & Strategic Initiatives, with a focus on driving strategic growth, digital transformation, expense productivity and operating model efficiency.  The successful candidate will work in close partnership with U.S. Personal Bank’s senior leadership and business/functional heads to: 

  • Execute analysis of our markets, competitors, and customers using internal and external data and resources, including leveraging data analysis and visualization tools to identify patterns and insights
  • Identify opportunities and issues of strategic importance to U.S. Personal Bank to inform recommendations and enable execution
  • Support critical transformation, productivity and cross-business unit initiatives, and facilitate effective execution of these initiatives
  • Drive project workstream execution end-to-end: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to track and measure initiative progress; identify, design, and operationalize tools where appropriate to streamline ongoing progress updates
  • Support development of CEO and Board-level presentations

Candidate Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of post-graduate experience in financial services including experience in strategy development and execution
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong presence, communication skills and deliver clearly articulate presentations to senior leaders
  • Understands the role of data as a strategic asset. Strong quantitative skills. Experience using data visualization software, Python, SQL, VBA, etc. preferred
