AVP, PB Risk - Credit Portfolio Sr Analyst

The Private Bank (PB) Risk Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst will support key credit risk activities for the North America Private Bank Independent Risk Organization including portfolio monitoring, model risk management, and stress testing, as well as related risk governance activities. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and grow within the organization, ability to adapt to a fast-faced environment, and strong analytical/quantitative skills and attention to detail.


  • Perform portfolio analysis, identify trends and/or areas of concern, escalate issues and follow through resolution, and present concise and objective results to Senior Management.
  • Understand the Credit Product offerings available within the covered portfolio.
  • Work directly with PB Risk Management to support Model Risk Management activities, including Annual Model Review, Periodic Model Validation, Ongoing Monitoring and Quarterly Attestations.
  • Understand risk rating methodologies and underlying models and processes.
  • Support ad hoc stress testing framework and perform relevant analysis.
  • Develop strong understanding and demonstrate ability to follow risk policies and procedures related to job function.
  • Understand and serve as subject matter expert for credit data flow in downstream credit and reporting systems.
  • Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for specific projects across PB Risk North America and globally.
  • Assist with ad-hoc Senior Management needs, including data aggregation and presentations.
  • Work in partnership with the Business, while maintaining an independent and holistic risk perspective of the assigned portfolio.


  • 2-5 years of relevant experience 
  • BS or equivalent degree in a quantitative or financial discipline
  • Relevant experience in risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and remediation (preferred but not required)
  • Advanced analytical and strategical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel/VBA, Word, Power Point)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Self-starter, innovative and adaptive
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to produce a polished, high quality, accurate product
  • Tireless work ethic with ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a complex organization and work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization, including regional and global partners


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
