At Citi Ventures, we invest in startups, pilot new technologies, and test new solutions and business models with the potential to transform the future of financial services. In partnership with Citi’ HR team, The Studio team in Citi Ventures runs the CUPID (Citi University Partnerships in Innovation and Discovery) program that is helping to transform how Citi engages with and recruits top talent for our campus and experienced hire programs.

In addition to running the CUPID program, the Studio team develops digital products and services that foster economic vitality for people and communities.

We are building a team that will enhance and expand the CUPID program to engage and recruit experienced talent for competitive roles across Citi including roles in technology, data science and environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Concurrently the program will formally expand to international geographies. Developing a holistic strategy to engage diverse talent will be a critical aspect of the team’s work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the CUPID program and develop and execute an overarching talent strategy focused on both campus and experienced talent, which continues to evolve CUPID into an industry leading talent acquisition program; strategy will include a dedicated focus on diverse talent acquisition
  • Expand the CUPID program across target international geographies while enhancing Citi’s talent branding and developing new talent pipelines into Citi
  • Build industry-academia relationships that support sourcing of technical talent and development of closer partnerships between business leaders and high growth STEM disciplines
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for complex, high profile and time sensitive talent acquisition needs; enhance existing consultative partnerships with key internal stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders including various Citi business and functions heads, universities and recruiting partners  
  • Communicate the overall CUPID vision and strategy to relevant stakeholders and obtain buy-in

What We Are Looking for

  • At least 8+ years of professional experience;  some experience in talent acquisition and sourcing experience for technical and/or financial institutions would be ideal
  • Experience in creating new programming for talent acquisition with a proven ability to engage diverse talent
  • Deep understanding of industry-academic partnerships, with a track record of developing and enhancing such relationships
  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving and senior-level relationship management skills
  • Established experience and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work
  • Influence without direct authority and cultivate relationships in a large and diverse organization; independently navigate across Citi’ global teams
  • Ability to self-manage, self-motivate and deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, and detail-oriented


  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
