Director, Global Loan Product Specialist, Corporate Banking, LATAM

Reporting to the Global Head of BCMA Loan Products with a matrix to the LATAM Head of Corporate Banking, the LATAM Global Loan Product Specialist is a senior level position responsible for the development and maintenance of a consistent end to end global framework for managing the loan product. 


  • Establish and maintain a clearly defined governance framework for BCMA Loans in LATAM and create and manage the agenda for the LATAM BCMA Loans Governance Forum
  • Develop and manage the strategic end to end program roadmap and framework to gain maximum benefit from the loan product  
  • Leverage internal partners (BCMA management, Global Subsidiaries Group, O&T, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and other partners) to define issues and opportunities and design appropriate solutions 
  • Lead the coordination of management and regulatory initiatives to build cohesive best in class loan product including Y14, Libor Transition, SNC Data and Loan IQ
  • Leverage subject matter expertise on innovation and groundbreaking product development
  • Promote innovation including working with external partners/alliances to maintain/improve overall management of loan product status
  • Direct creation and negotiation of client agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and/or vendor contracts as it relates to the loan product
  • Utilize familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures in relation to data science, big data, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics
  • Formulate strategy around resource allocation between traditional research, analytic solutions, and data focused solutions
  • Act as responsible executive for BCMA Loans in overseeing the activities of other businesses, functions and third parties where their activities impact BCMA Loan products
  • Work with Operations and Technology with regards to process design and vendor procurement as well as communicate business strategy and needs
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 8-10+ years of loan product / program management experience
  • Experience managing across multi-function, global business
  • Experience leading cross-functional team to define and achieve high value business goals
  • Broad and diverse functional experience (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics)
  • Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication


  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
