Citi’s Law Firm Group (LFG) is looking to fill a Client Advisory Analyst-programmer role in the Client Advisory Group. Citi Law Firm Group Advisory Services team reports legal industry trends and forecasts via various publications, client presentations, and client engagements. In addition, Advisory Services team has been producing industry leading analyses for law firms around the world. Through firms participating in surveys, the Advisory Services team studies firm’s performance in relation to nominated peers, enabling law firm leaders to make informed strategic decisions.

The Advisory Analysts provide analytical support to the Client Advisors, and are responsible for administering the surveys, maintaining the databases, and creating the collateral that is then shared with LFG’s clients. The Advisory Analyst is an integral part of the production of over 200 tailored comparative client presentations throughout the year. The analyst is also expected to interface with LFG clients to administer and collect financial data, respond to client requests and analysis and maintain and mine database of survey results. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the legal industry, an analytical mind, and a very high attention to detail.

The Client Advisory Analyst-programmer will work with the senior client analyst and technology team to improve the survey site and look for innovative ways to improve the client experience. The qualified candidate should be proficient is VB/VBA, specific to working with MS products with the aim to produce adaptive solutions to unforeseen problems and newly formed objectives. The applicant should have robust analytical skills and be highly familiar with database construction.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • Licensing: Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66
  • Demonstrated interest in finance and law, analytical skills Proficiency and aptitude in utilizing MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency as a developer and/or power user; specifically, 2-3 years of experience scripting in VBA for any of the following applications:
    • MS Access
    • MS Excel
    • MS Outlook
    • SharePoint
    • SQL
  • Prospective Applicant should:
    • Be able to develop desktop solutions in XLSX Macros or MS Access databases and/or combine the two as dependent upon the issue/request
    • Have a deep understanding of process with regards to dataflow in terms daily office requirements
    • Have strong data analysis acumen when addressing calculative obstacles
    • Be able to clearly communicate technical subject matter to all levels of associates and senior staff.
  • Recurring activities are comprised of:
    • MS Database maintenance
    • Building ADHOC questionnaires through MS Excel
    • General understanding of our reporting system LPAR (LFG Peer Group Analysis & Reporting) and survey site, CWS (Client Web Services)
      • Communicating with the support staff for LPAR / CWS
      • Addressing issues that may occur on the LPAR/CWS interface
      • Logging/Reporting issues when discovered for LPAR based reports or CWS based surveys
