The Global Process & Stakeholder Management (GPSM) function within Finance Risk Shared Services (FRSS) is responsible for partnering with the Global Process Owners in Finance to transform the end-to-end Global Operating Model for all Financial Books and Records processes, platforms and results. The team will be responsible for defining key controls, and key operational and organizational metrics for the defined processes in alignment with Finance Target Operating Model and Consent Order strategic initiative.

Financial Reporting Senior Analyst - VP

As a senior position within the GPSM team, the Ledger Aggregation & Integrity Strategy (LAIS) lead will report directly to the GPSM-FBR-LAI Director within the GPSM team. The role will be part of a strategic team dedicated to the identification and remediation of key gaps in the financial processes supported by FRSS LAI with responsibility for participating in transformation initiatives, partnering with GPSM Process Leads,  GPO and the Consent Order Project teams to design and implement the future state global process including governance and operating model, ensuring standardized, efficient and well-controlled processes that will support the integrity and control of Citi’s Financial Reporting Processes owned by the Citi Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying specific action items, execution and coordination with GPSM Process Leads and Reporting Operations, updating of key resource materials and implementation of critical changes to operational procedures, and governance documentation.
  • Define standard guidelines, roles and responsibilities, and appropriate alignment of activities within FRSS FBR LAI Operations inclusive of LAI Exceptions, Maintenance and BSS functions.
  • Lead and support GPSM LAI automation initiatives across the reporting centers to successful completion
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of process trees and related standard process documentation
  • Deliver results and influence change effectively across geographic and functional areas and levels. Assist in strategic location strategy assessments and migration management.
  • Manage multiple priorities, plans and tasks and work with geographically diverse resources. Responsible for updating various project plans and key milestones related to project completion.
  • Leadership role in the design and implementation of both tactical and strategic remediation plans to address specific gaps in the Consent Order and Finance Transformation analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong background in one or more of the Reporting Operations disciplines or areas of Finance.
  • Experience and Expertise leading and delivering with maintenance, exception handling and Balance Sheet Substantiation along with process, standardization, data, controls and governance is desirable.
  • 6 to 10+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance or business related fields in Financial Services.
  • Proven skills in leadership, strategic planning, project management and organizational structure.
  • Experience in communicating across business lines and levels
  • Clear and concise communication (written, verbal) skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Strong analytical skills, acting as an expert or advisor on complex reporting escalations.
  • Experience with process improvement, design and implementation of accounting and closing processes.
  • Ability to identify problems and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Global awareness and global business orientation.
  • This location will be at our Mumbai office and is not eligible for remote work.

Critical Competencies:

  • Escalate potential issues identified in working group sessions.
  • Assist in creation and delivery of reporting operations metrics for the global view
  • Active leadership and representation of FRSS in working group sessions, strategy planning and various reviews sessions to identify and facilitate remediation of detailed action plans and commitments to targets.
  • Coordinate with members of the various Reporting Operations functions to identify ways to streamline and implement action plans in order to create more accurate and timely results, as well as improving efficiency.
  • Maintain constant dialog with GPSM, Reporting Operations and Project Management to highlight issues
  • Be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to all control programs and developing a sound and robust control environment.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries by the business and engage with them for additional analysis if required.
  • Documentation and control point of Reporting centers Project testing and document and disseminate results.
