In this role, you’re expected to:
Risk Data, Analytics, Reporting and Technology (DART) oversees risk data aggregation, controls, reporting and analysis across all Risk Management teams, including the function of the Risk Data Transformation Sponsor, accountable for Risk’s overall data efforts, working closely with the enterprise data office. DART is responsible for enterprise reporting, data management, and technology innovation that is fundamental to Risk Management within Citi.
The Market Risk Reporting Process & Infrastructure Lead is part of Citi’s Risk Management community. Within Risk Management the role sits within the Data, Analytics, Reporting and Technology (DART) function. DART is responsible for (i) supporting intelligent risk decisions and proactive management of Citi’s risks across the enterprise, (ii) delivering risk information and analysis to help risk managers and senior management navigate complex risks and regulatory landscape, (iii) providing deep expertise in risk data and dimensions in the development and production of reports and analytics, (iv) designing policies, defining leading practices and innovative technological tooling in performance of risk data governance and strategy roles.
The role will play a prominent role in the transformation of the Global Market Risk Reporting Process and will be supporting critical organizational remediation programs helping drive innovation and the migration to modern reporting platforms and business intelligence.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of driving enterprise wide initiatives and will need to display a strong understanding of regulatory and good governance requirements. Excellent communication skills are required in order to navigate teams effectively, often at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
Play a lead role in the execution of the Price Risk Reporting Initiative driving transformation across the Market Risk Stripe
Preparation of regular and time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and reports to the Risk Managers, Senior Management, and Regulators
Partner with Technology and Global Market Risk to track the execution of strategies for automated solutions to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Support the drive towards BCBS239 compliance for Key Risk Reports
Collaborate on Data Governance, Data Services and Data Quality initiatives across the organization to improve the quality of information utilized for Market Risk
Ensure proper execution and tracking of EUC controls and reviews and oversee and monitor the progress towards the EUC Risk Reduction program.
Oversee the DART Market Risk Reporting product inventory including tracking KPI’s and metrics around report production and transformation/simplification efforts.
Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Implementation and enhancement of key controls and maintenance of associated process documentation.
Provide ad-hoc support and analysis.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Science, or related analytical fields
15+ years of relevant work experience with an emphasis on Risk Reporting and Data Analytics, or a Finance related function.
In-depth knowledge of various Citi policies and procedures around overall Risk & Controls, EUC, ITeSS, etc is preferred
Extensive experience in the Financial Services industry with an understanding of financial products and risk across asset classes, and experience interacting with senior management.
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI or other BI visualization tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to details. Ability to quickly analyze granular details, summarize top-level trends, identify key drivers of trends and adeptly present findings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven presentation skills. Ability to relay information to senior management in a succinct, insightful way, and negotiate internally with a broad range of stakeholders
Ability to process and understand various data structures and present data from insightful and actionable perspectives
Strong leadership, communication, organization & interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate, collaborate, and lead cross functional initiatives across multiple areas of the organization.
