The individual will be a senior member of the CCB India Independent Risk team. In addition to CCB India SME Risk Head, there will be two Senior Approver Heads (including this role) reporting into CCB India Risk Head.

The individual will be responsible for rigorous credit due diligence, approval and monitoring of his/her designated portfolio customers mainly from Mid Market Enterprises portfolio. The portfolio allocation can be based on geography and/or industry.

The individual will be a team leader of senior Independent Risk approvers and is expected to have good communication skills and leadership abilities. The individual needs to ensure rigorous portfolio monitoring and early pick up from credit and industry trends so that customer strategies can be implemented effectively. The individual needs to be Senior Credit Officer (SCO) or SCO ready.

The role calls for demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams and to take balanced decisions in a well-informed and timely manner and effectively communicate them. The individual is expected to play a leadership and mentorship role in maintaining the risk culture at highest standard.

The individual is expected to lead the team in various strategic initiatives spanning diverse topics such as design and implementation of risk management framework. He /She would be handling activities such as local and global policy and governance, industry research, adherence to regulatory framework and audits (internal and external).

The individual needs to be open to relocate to any of the metro cities where the Business has its presence and such relocation would be decided on the evolving needs of the Unit.

Qualifications:

- 15+ years of relevant experience

- Senior Credit Officer (SCO) or SCO ready
- Experience in people management
- Comprehensive understanding of the industry and direct competitors' products and services.

- Experience of handling large complex transactions (i.e. leveraged lending, acquisition finance etc.).
- In-depth conceptual/practical grounding in the function and/or expertise in related subject areas.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree in management and/or professional qualification.
