The Risk Reporting Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the analysis and preparation of reports for Internal Management, Regulators, Auditors, etc. that detail risks inherent in Credit, Market, Operational or other Risk Portfolios. Reporting can cover a variety of areas including but not limited to: portfolio concentrations, limit exceptions, stress testing, loss reserves or high-risk exposures. Roles
  • Assists in Credit Bureau Reporting initiatives.
  • Participates in preparing regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables to the regulators and senior managements, closely working with industry and regional senior portfolio managers
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk management, credit policy/strategy or Risk Information Analytics in Banking / financial services
  • Well versed with India Regulatory Landscape on Banking with prior experience of working / managing RBI Onsite Audits & exams
  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis
  • Detailed-oriented, high level of intellectual curiosity and strong sense of ownership
  • Demonstrated project management skills, and ability to multi-task effectively and work against tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and exert influence without direct authority
  • Good business acumen and strong analytical skills with hands on experience driving consumer credit strategy and/or the ability to connect analytics with business decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and to external audiences.  Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences. 
  • Excellent communicator: ability to engage and inspire team forward
  • Ability to drive innovation via thought leadership while maintaining end-to-end view
  • Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators
