Manager- India Derivatives Operations

About Treasury Operations:
Treasury operations units supports a high revenue generating and complex FX business of the bank. The unit is on a fast trajectory of digitization and automation thru disruptive technology to cater to the every dynamic market and regulatory landscape.

About the role:
This is an IC role & is part of the Derivatives Operations Unit within Treasury Operations and requires a good understanding of Futures, Options, Swaps, Interest Rate Derivatives, and Exchange Traded Products and their regulatory framework (RBI, SEBI). The unit comprises of functions such as Margining, Affirmations, Confirmations, Documentations and Settlements. The role requires stringent adherence to controls and regulatory requirements at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure a seamless operation’s delivery platform for the Treasury Businesses, through timely and zero-defect transaction processing in the Unit
• Performing the back office operations for the deals booked by the dealers. (Swap, Options, Combination of these /exotic)
• Review underlying documentation received for each transactions and update it on a timely basis as per regulatory timelines & perform other BAU activities
• Project management skills for liaison with multiple stakeholders to take systemic enhancements to closure
• Develop and implement technology solutions for automation of existing manual reports and processes
• Recommend process improvements methods and techniques to reduce cycle time and handle higher volumes with the existing resources as well as suggest technology initiatives and implementation plans to build in process efficiency in operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and assist in regulatory and financial inspections and audits.
• Update COB plans and ensure that COB testing is carried out
• Interface with, and have cordial professional relationships with the various external and internal entities that are part of the transaction processing activity chain – such as the Dealers, Financial Control, Treasury Front Office, Credit, RMs, Risk management, CCIL, RBI, Citibank NY/London etc.
• MIS preparation for front office, Finance, Credit and Regulatory reporting
• Ensure timely delivery of regulatory submission to external and internal stakeholders.
• Develop subject matter expertise of Derivative and FX products, regulatory guidelines and master circulars.
• Seamless implementation of new processes and changes in regulatory/internal circulars/guidelines
• Ensure proper accounting and reporting of derivative and customer foreign exchange product.
• Liaise with customers for ad hoc settlement related queries and explaining the settlement process to them for derivative and FX product.
• Ensure adherence to RBI regulations with respect to foreign currency transfer (cross border transactions).
• Knowledge about the product, guidelines & circulars from regulators and exchange
• Liaise with various partner units to ensure seamless derivative swap settlements against External Commercial Borrowings, FCNR loans, Letter of Credit / Buyers Credit etc.
• Candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA, with relevant work experience minimum 6 years
• The candidate should have good communication skills, eye to detail and good interpersonal skills
