EMPLOYEE RELATIONS LEAD (C13)

Job Purpose:

The India Labor Relations Lead will be accountable and responsible for managing the strategy and implementation of Labor Relations and HR related Compliances in the India and work in partnership with regional Labor Relations colleagues to provide a framework for effective and efficient Labor Relations across India.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for Citi’s Unions and Consultation Forum and Communication Forum, coordination and co-Chair for quarterly/annual meetings/ Manfeds Provide support to the Human Resources Team through consultations and by providing advice on matters related to Labor Standards including Occupational Safety and Health and Collective Bargaining Agreement issues. Liaise with internal and external legal counsel, Compliance, Risk, CISIS etc in order to respond to Labor issues and cases Responsible for end-to-end handling of Sexual Harassment Complaints under the POSH Act, including coordination with the ER COE on both management of investigations and development / maintenance of any related local policies. Maintains a strong network of external specialists and peers – able to benchmark Citi`s Labor Relations practice in the market and sensitive to both threats and opportunities for Citi brought about by external factors ie legislative/regulatory changes or changes in market practice. Work with regional and global partners on implementation of global projects and initiatives to ensure regional compliance and local regulatory/unions or works council requirements considered. Manage specific Human Resources Processes to ensure regulatory compliance for the whole franchise. These processes include but are not limited

Periodic Regulatory reporting to both Financial Regulator and Non-financial Regulator (RBI&SEBI/ Returns filed with Labor Dept.)

Coordination and Management of Inquiries and Inspections by Labor Offices/Dept.

Coordinate employment related communications with external stakeholders, including employment regulators

Coordinating with other COEs in-country/regional to provide HR related information to various stakeholders in-country

Secondment Process

Coordinate and Support Country Teams (CHRO/HRA and HRPS) in reviewing and submission of HR data for various Governance Forums and local audit requirements

Boards Reporting to various legal entities in-country

Facilitate HR related data submissions to local auditors (Statutory/Con-current)

HR submission to Country Coordination Committee/Local Operations Committee (CCC/LOC)

HR submission and review of Global Regulatory Inventory Tool (GRITT)

Monitor and review Annual Due Diligence for TPM activities in HR and to some extent execute and coordinate with BAO, BAO Support and Initiative owners to complete the ADD Work with the CHRO and his direct reports in managing the Human Resources Business Recovery Plan including Cob trac, call tree testing, and business impact analysis aligned with COB processes. Provide guidance to HR stakeholders on COB and RMO policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES:

  • Extensive background in HR generalist affairs, including benefits and compensation, HR records management, HR policies development, and legal compliance.
  • Demonstrated abilities in Industrial relations and collective bargaining, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • MS Office applications savvy and advanced data management skills is an advantage
  • Legal background is an advantage
