The Sec & Derivatives Supv is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise operating efficiency and ensure the entire team meets performance and quality expectations of assigned tasks.
  • Resolve escalated issues and provide appropriate closure to those problems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, including service or technology enhancements and train staff on all changes
  • Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures
  • Manage daily performance related to securities and derivatives post-settlement activities of operations processes
  • Propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, or overall technology enhancements
  • Identify control deficiencies and implement appropriate procedures
  • Serve as backup for manager as required
  • Contribute to processing standards and expectations for securities and derivatives processing teams
  • Collaborate with business in launching new products and enhancing customer experience on evolved products.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to business on day-to-day basis. Deliver on must win battles of global market operations in terms of productivity, finance and manual touch point reduction. At the same time, maintain pristine control environment.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
