Citi's GSP eTrading and Algo team delivers eTrading strategy & provides price distribution, order management, RFQ management, Algo trading capability for Global Spread Products business across all products. Our talented technology group is looking for a hands-on, Dev-Ops specialist for GSP's Desktop, web based and Back-End applications.
The Global Spread Products (GSP) Technology Team is seeking a highly motivated hands-on specialist for the eTrading DevOps team. The candidate will be empowered to build & maintain eTrading non-production environments and help increase productivity of eTrading tech teams as well as the Business Quant team. The role will require 5+ years Java experience. Containerization, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes skills would be a plus. The candidate will be working in a flexible (Hybrid) and inclusive environment. An ideal candidate for this role is a responsible and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a global development team and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps expert who will be responsible for creating and managing the Dev-Ops pipeline for our eTrading platforms.
Modernize and automate release management, deployment processes and strategies
Collaborate with development, QA, and engineering teams globally on various business project
Provide environment/operation triage support for the development and test environments. Utilize monitoring, dashboards, and management tools to ensure the availability and operation of the development and test environments.
Work with dev teams to evaluate the health, stability, and reliability of components/services. Engage them throughout the life cycle to improve reliability, monitoring and testing. Assist with system architecture towards this end.
Define and drive the adoption of monitoring frameworks to accomplish end to end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting. Help implement telemetry and work with dev teams to implement SLI/SLO’s.
Implement and maintain simulation and data staging tools to support testing needs. Develop, operate, monitor, and automate team infrastructure tools and services.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of branching strategies, environment management, release processes, and integration testing methodologies.
Experience with deployment automation - CI/CD pipelines and associated tools like IBM UrbanCode Deploy, TeamCity, Jenkins, Sonar Cube, Bitbucket.
Experience with supporting developers in designing for testability.
Experience in implementing SLI’s/SLO’s along with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus at various levels (API, runtime, infrastructure, log analysis, etc).
Experience with bare metal infrastructure as well as orchestrated environment like Kubernetes. Well-grounded in Linux and networking fundamental.
Experience with distributed systems on Linux and messaging platforms.
Experience troubleshooting skills using logs and telemetry data.
Good programming skills, preferably in Java.
Strong sense of ownership and good communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Masters degree preferred
