Markets Risk & Controls team (part of Markets Technology group) is a front-to-back solution delivery team, developing cutting edge platforms, utilizing best-in-class technologies. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced program/project management professional to take on the challenge of being an Enterprise PMO Lead for this team. In this fast paced environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details, you will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills. Documentation preparation & review, strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall/Traditional, Agile & Hybrid) required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage release cycles, write project documentation and other project admin related tasks

  • Project coordination for several areas within the Markets R&C program/project portfolio

  • Assist technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio of programs and projects

  • Managing several project metrics – Gantt / burn charts, sprint velocity, transactions costs vs. holding costs, release cycle time etc.

  • Enforce a culture of SDLC best practices across the technology group

  • Maintain existing departmental and PMO policies and procedure

  • Continue to update and improve project methodologies, provide mentoring and training to other PM’s and act as an SME

  • Organize and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the projects

  • Liaise with a range of teams from COO, Technology Central Business Office, Technology Leads, and Management Office team, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals

  • Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards and scorecards

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders

  • Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects

  • Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summaries, defend and present recommendation

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of project management experience – preferably from a large enterprise IT environment where the focus was developing software/solutions

  • PMP certification strongly preferred along with other complimentary certifications such as CSM, Safe Agile etc.

  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.

  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.

  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.

  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.

  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications especially MS Excel.

  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree with courses in information technology, computer sciences preferred

  • PMP Certification or equivalent
