TTS Latin America – Digital Consumer Payments Product Development Manager

Manages the end to end development and market readiness of our Digital Consumer Payments offering, including the integration of global, regional and local components and coordination with different internal stakeholders and external partners – as necessary to deliver the best value proposition to our clients.

This role is part of the Payments & Receivables business in LATAM.

The Digital Consumer Payments Product Development Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of our Global Gateway solution for our clients in Latin America, making sure it covers the most relevant payment schemes and market practices in each country, in compliance with applicable policies, regulations and legal conditions.

Personally maintain up-to-date records and materials of the Digital Consumer Payments solution, as well as market rules and conditions to support and promote sales. Make sure clients are highly satisfied, by providing compelling features and value added services to generate new deals.

Execute and adapt to the region the global approach defined for Digital Consumer Payments.

Job Responsibilities: 

·Manage the integration of the different partners in LATAM with the global Payment Gateway platform: card processors, alternative payment methods – in all cases keeping in mind the global, regional and local requirements.

·Act as liaison between local and global teams, including external parties, to ensure our solution is built for each market in alignment with the regional strategy.

·Make sure the integration activities in LATAM are executed as planned, escalating any risks when necessary to promptly address them regionally, to avoid impact to the Global plan.

·Foster the interaction with the broader LATAM P&R team to conduct these responsibilities with an approach that’s consistent with all other pieces of our offering.

·Coordinate with the different functional areas all the necessary activities to secure market readiness of the solution:

ocompliance/regulatory/legal readiness

ocommercialization readiness

oimplementation readiness

oservice readiness

ooperational readiness

obilling and allocation of revenues and expenses under the P&L of domestic Payments & Receivables

·Support the Domestic Payments & Receivables Product Development Head in preparing and maintaining a roll out plan in the different countries.

·Ensure the Digital Consumer Payments offering is competitive in service, function and price

·Leverage technology to automate the network and connect with Citi's information systems

·Research competitive landscape, industry trends, client needs, and drive success transfer to close gaps, develop and optimize network, alliances & partnerships 

·Ensure new product development: enhancements and additional capabilities

·Collect MIS to support business planning (i.e. transaction volumes, revenues, market share, etc.)

·Work in partnership with the broader LATAM Payments & Receivables team, Channels & Enterprise Services, Liquidity Management Services, Operations & Technology, Client Delivery, Client Management & Sales

·Provide Leadership and Guidance to the countries.

·Ensure pristine risk and control environment, aligned with global policies and local regulations

·Serve as the knowledge center for all internal constituencies, clients and partners

·Take part and lead in new product projects including but not limited to e-Commerce, e-Wallets and mobile solutions for cash replacement in connection with current trends in the digital space.


The candidate for the position must have:

·Expertise in eCommerce, cards and electronic payment gateways

·Product launching experience

·Knowledge of Citi’s applicable policies and regulations for product and vendor on boarding

·Understanding of the Payments and Receivables business, products and markets

·Excellent interaction, written and verbal communication skills to engage with large global organizations as partners

·Proven track record of delivering results, recognized execution skills

·Strong influencing skills, primarily with a non-directly managed team.

·Problem solving, interpretation and analytical skills

·Minimum experience of 8 years in Product Management related roles.

·Project management

·Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred

·Fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese is also a plus
