The Investment Professional will be responsible for supporting our internal and external clients primarily through a “service to sales” role covering the entirety of the investment platform and experience.  The Investment Professional is a key contributor to the improvement of processes and workflow for the regional investments team that they will support. The role requires in-depth understanding of how various areas of the organization work together to coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the overall business. The role requires strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and solve complex issues across various investment solution and operations partners. Effective communication and diplomacy skills are required.

Citi Private Bank (CPB) is part of Citi Global Wealth Management and offers a wide range of products and solutions, including investment strategies, banking and lending, trust, and specialized services. The Private Bank delivers solutions to help meet the individual, family, and business needs of over 10,000 ultra-high net worth clients around the world. The Private Bank is focused on clients with a minimum net worth of $25mm and serves 40% of the world’s billionaires and their families.


  • Provides exceptional support and issue resolution to Citi Private Bank Investment Clients & Internal Partners
  • Provides call coverage for advisors to support incoming client requests - including placing securities trades (Series 7 & 66 required)
  • Provides high level of support, including but not limited to client market and price updates, account documentation approval and maintenance
  • Prepares and interfaces with clients on subscription documents for Alternative Investments such as Private Equity, Hedge Funds, among others
  • Creates investment mandates for discretionary accounts
  • Ensures client Investment Objective Settings (IOS) other compliance norms are strictly adhered to
  • Handles inquiries/requests related to investment operations
  • Builds a rapport with the Investment Counselors (IC) and Investment Associates (IA); communicates effectively on issues/tasks/opportunities requiring the IC’s/IA’s attention
  • Builds a rapport with operational, product partner, and trading desk staffs and seeks out highest level of support from those teams
  • Researches and answers client inquiries for products and solutions
  • Risk Management - monitors exceptions and works with IC Team Leader to monitor risk metrics across the team
  • Organizes and tracks campaigns and projects
  • Submits and monitors fee schedules and billing
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Series 7 & 66 registration required (Preference is prior to joining; however, we will also consider candidates who commit to taking the exams within the first 3 months of employment).
  • Bachelor's/University degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of client service or investment assistant experience within a registered broker dealer or registered investment adviser firm
  • Prior experience and interest in financial markets and concepts
  • PowerPoint and Excel expertise required
  • Good understanding of investment and financial planning strategies preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Self-starter, extremely organized and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Exceptional follow up and execution skills
