Job Purpose:

Overall responsibility is to support the Global Analytical Insights team within the Citi Research and Advisory business. The role presents the opportunity to work within a major investment bank in a leading research house that is developing distinct and thematic research product offerings. The job is based at Citigroup Centre in Canary Wharf.

Job Background/context:

Citi Research & Global Insights (CRGI) conducts independent research and analysis of markets, economies, sectors, and corporations in every region of the world, in addition to providing leading-edge content and consulting services to clients across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the creation, submission and publication of research reports using Authoring.  Monitor reports through the Authoring process and liaise with Supervisory Analysts, Legal & Publications team.
  • Create charts and graphics (e.g. with Excel ChartWizard, PowerPoint) for inclusion in reports and presentations.
  • Obtain market and historic data via market data subscriptions and internet sources. 
  • Do literature reviews on topics the team is looking at, with some experience on innovation, digital and fintech topics preferred.
  • Help prepare and maintain client marketing presentations.
  • Ensure all reports published are saved and logged.

Team Marketing

  • Prepare and maintain marketing presentations to a high standard, using PowerPoint. 
  • Ensure all meetings/calls/events are logged in CRM and manage client distribution lists.
  • Liaising with clients and Citi colleagues across regions to organise Analyst Marketing trips, creating marketing schedules in Velocity.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences, Investor Lunches, Roadshows and Off-sites. Assist Corporate Access team with events and roadshows where required.
  • Manage compliance approvals required for internal and external events when necessary
  • Ensure media appearance requests are submitted and approved in a timely manner.

Data Management 

  • Update and maintain internal databases (e.g. CRM) comprising company/client contact information..
  • Compile charts and graphs from large Excel data sets for inclusion in research reports.
  • Liaising with internal colleagues in data gathering for reports and presentations.
  • Take ownership of client requests and ensure they are logged as activities.
  • Manipulate data across various applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and in-house databases.


  • Organise and manage client audio and video conference calls.
  • Manage team diaries and analysts time effectively.
  • Organise and manage extensive and detailed travel arrangements (flights, hotels, visas, cars and trains) with local and off-shore travel teams.
  • Order supplies and process invoices through Procure to Pay system
  • Provide telephone cover for the team with contact/communication with high-level internal management, clients, industry officials and senior management in other firms. Uphold key confidentiality when liaising with clients. 
  • Maintain filing systems, shared files, distribution lists, team publications and subscriptions, both hard copy and electronic copy.


  • Ability to work to regular timetables under limited supervision.

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A strong command of the English language (oral and written) is essential.
