Responsibilities
The EMEA Regulatory Operations Control team performs a key role in compiling, calculating, and monitoring all UK FCA Client Asset / Money submissions. The group also completes the Client Money and Asset Returns (CMAR) for the Citi FCA regulated entities (CGML, CEP UK, CBNA, CUKL).
The group acts as central point of contact within O&T for CASS issues enabling transparency and escalation and is responsible for chairing the monthly O&T CASS Committee in addition to participating in Business aligned CASS Sub-Committees.
This role is within the Regulatory Control team as part of the London Operations Control department, with key responsibilities for CASS. The team is engaged with business partners, Technology, Compliance with key responsibilities for Client Assets including but not limited to the governance and oversight of O&T processes and procedures as they relate
to Client Asset.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with O&T businesses and act as a central point of contact for CASS related matters
Assist with the build out of a CASS governance structure for O&T
Represent ORC at the various monthly Subcommittee meetings and governance committees
Engage with internal and external auditors on CASS matters
Partner with O&T, Client Asset and depository Office and Compliance implementing changes required as a result of internal or external audit reviews
Work with Compliance and the Client Asset & depositor protection office in reviewing current and new business initiatives while adhering to CASS regulations. Analysing interpretation and providing executive summaries for key stakeholders and detailed impact analysis as required
Attend business control forums providing appropriate challenge as it relates to CASS
Oversight and support of the CASS functions performed by ORC, escalating issues to management where appropriate, challenging issues and understanding root cause analysis and resolution
Identification of areas for improving existing processes and controls, developing and enhancing CASS knowledge within ORC
Review of Managers Control Assessment for CASS
Engagement in key business initiatives, liaising with change management in providing Business Requirements to enable testing of required change and confirming impact to team’s processes.
Work with Change Management Team to continually challenge and improve reporting process, articulating key risks inherent in current practice.
Requirements:
University degree and/or relevant professional qualifications.
Proven experience in Operations, or in a Control or Policy function
Previous strong CASS experience
Full understanding of the FCA CASS Handbook
Self-starter, able to work on initiative and organise themselves well
Pro-active, likely to instigate change
Confident team player – good interpersonal skills
Able to build effective working relationships quickly and maintain them
Focused on providing a high standard of service to clients
Good attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Resilient and tenacious
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
