The Global Equities business spans Cash Equities, Delta One, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, and Futures. We are seeking an experienced project management professional to join our Project Management Office to manage our data governance program.  Data Governance is a strategic priority for Citi.  The role will manage the Cross Equity platform data governance program. Representation of the Equities businesses in strategic data governance initiatives will be a core responsibility. The candidate will work closely with the regional and global COO teams to scope, define and implement these key initiatives.


  • Act as a strategic thought leader for Cross Equities data governance from project conception through implementation

  • Lead multiple complex projects and/or special assignments concurrently

  • Reconciliations and exception management to ensure Data Quality.

  • Prioritization of any data quality issues for resolution.

  • Pro-actively identifying and implementing data optimization, enhancement and enrichment opportunities.

  • Mandatory changes due to regulatory / exchange / Citi internal policy changes.

  • Adherence to Citi markets wide policies and data standards.

  • Manage dependent static, transactional and derived data sources. This includes reconciling and remediating any data discrepancies or lineage issues, in order to deliver high quality and dependable data for all Equities businesses

  • Collaborate across the Business, and other functions including but not limited to Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Data Privacy, Market Data to ensure the integrity of our data.

  • Identify critical stakeholders and deliver effective communication (written and verbal) to all levels including executive management

  • Drive project and business requirements; includes interviewing business process or products owners, authoring requirements, scope, gaining approvals, updating project scope changes

  • Communicate to executive teams utilizing dashboards, decks and/or material appropriate for senior leadership review and discussions; develop metrics/measurements as needed

  • Review IT design and technical documents to ensure they effectively meet business/operational needs based on project requirements

  • Develop and execute project plans, conduct follow ups and update project documentation in accordance with established processes

  • Draft and manage relevant related initiatives through the regional New Products Approval (NPA) process, Cross Border Data and Privacy Risk assessments, when necessary


  • In depth project management in a regulatory required control environment

  • Detailed working knowledge of some or all of the Equities business workflows.

  • Knowledge of middle and back office systems and processes.

  • Understanding of the key global regulatory requirements covering data protection.

  • Experience managing internal policy compliance across areas such as third party risk, IT security and cross border data transfer.

  • Track record of building partnerships and consensus across complex and diverse global cross-functional organizations.

  • Experience facing auditors and regulators around processes and controls.

  • Product development experience developing business tools and client self-service portals.

  • A university degree and masters preferably in relevant subjects such as computer science, data science or engineering.

  • A high level understanding of agile development methodologies, cloud based deployments, big data technologies and time series databases.

  • Experience managing projects in a regulatory required control environment
