The Commodities In-Business Credit officer is an intermediate-level position within the Commodities Transformation team responsible for various credit risk data projects, conducting credit reviews and monitoring client facilities to identify and prevent credit breaches.

The key stakeholders for this role would be Commodities Sales & Trading, Independent Credit Risk, Technology, Business Unit Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Business co-ordination of risk projects related to automation, streamlining and preventative T0 credit checking

  • Support system implementation and process enhancements with respect to preventative credit controls across commodities trading business

  • Review any genuine credit breaches with sales and trading

  • Identify the root cause for any false breaches and work with technology to resolve

  • Provide detailed reporting on credit breaches to senior management

  • Work with the sales and trading teams to produce automated facility data to brokers and external venues

  • Implement soft and hard blocks in trade capture systems to minimise the risk of credit breaches

Qualifications:

  • Proven relevant experience

  • Experience in risk analytics and managing projects from Markets credit risk perspective

  • Experience in credit risk areas across Commodities would be preferable

  • Proven ability to work with large data sets

  • Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency

  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects

  • Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills

  • Strong self-starter, pro-active and team player.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent work experience
