The Product Specialist will support operational, regulatory and  strategic initiatives designed at improving the banking and custody product offerings for Private Bank clients. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge within an operational resilience function within the financial services industry. The role will primarily support our operational resilience program for banking and custody products as well as supporting the ongoing book of work within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of operational resilience program for banking and custody products
  • Reviewing and assess products and services against risk management framework
  • Provide SME support on regulatory, operational and strategic initiatives
  • Manage regulatory compliance of banking and custody products
  • Engage industry partners on best practice and participate in industry forums
  • Create and maintain a solid working relationship with the banking & custody team, product partners, control functions and colleagues throughout Citi
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience within an operational resilience team
  • Experience working with stakeholders and delivering iterations as part of a project
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong initiative and interactive approach
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Comfortable in setting the agenda and syndicating support from others to execute
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Attention to detail and consistent follow-up skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
